NCIC Mobile Video Visitation Reviews

Such a predatory system and app.

Almost 30 cent a text message. That should tell you enough.

Janky app that causes miscommunication and confusion at the most random of times

Don’t get me wrong, I do think this is a pretty useful and somewhat helpful app to use for purposes related to communicating with incarcerated loved ones that are locked up in certain facilities where NCIC is the main source for inmate to family and vice versa messaging/video visiting… it’s just that I’ve had unexplained scenarios for multiple situations that I’m just gonna say happened for no good reason on there. First of all, obviously your not allowed to talk to inmates AT ALL about anything related to violence, crime, sexuality, narcotics etc. which of course is reasonable. What isn’t reasonable is that the administrators don’t block those type of inappropriate chats it seems like, while often time me or the person I’m typing too won’t even be able to see our thread despite our conversation being totally appropriate and this is my only assumption as to why this happens after seeing a message that’ll say “Messaging has been blocked by this facility” to which I’ll then realize I’m blocked from messaging any facilities, only for messaging to become available again the next day. My only other opinion is that it’s a glitch in the system. Other than that, it’s literally impossible for me to send a video to my friend in jail because of a message that keeps popping up about my face needing to be shown in the video, when that’s all I’m trying to record is my face which is the same as what my expression was in the facial recognition you have to set up whenever creating a new profile on it. Lastly, the very small selection of GIFs that are available to send to each other are so lame and stupid, it’s almost pointless to use and they wanna charge an extra 10 cents more (I know that’s nothing but still) to send those as opposed to the 25 cents per message, which is 1 good thing I’ll say about this app since a quarter of a dollar for each chat sent is alright in my opinion. Anyways, those are my main problems with this app otherwise I’m at least thankful I get the opportunity to talk to my hot ex-girlfriend through NCIC.

terrible app. they charge your card multiple times after it says your card didn’t go through when it actually did go through. The video calls are always frozen.

Are you kidding me? This app steals personal data???

Is this app stealing data?? So I just downloaded it, filled out my identification data, gave the bleeps a picture of my drivers license…and the “upload” button is frozen? It does nothing when I tap it. Tried again, no luck. Backed up a few steps, repeat…nothing! Seems to me they got what they wanted…my data and a very clear picture of my valid drivers license. Wow, I cannot believe Apple engages with them at all. Thrived…stinky, dirty thieves.
