NETGEAR Orbi - WiFi System App

i had an issue where i couldn’t login on my account with the password i was sure i used, so i opted to use the “forgot password” function. i got an email with the verification code and typed in the new password (actually the old one), and got the information that i couldn’t use the same password as the old one. fair enough, but why couldn’t i do a login with that password then ? so i composed a new password, and it kept stating the part about how to compose a password - upper- and lower case letters, digits and so on, until i found out that the system don’t see anything after a hyphen “-“ it is seriously annoying that you cant actually use a hyphen in your passwords, probably the only place on the net you can’t. best regards.

Won’t ever remember credentials and keeps pushing useless services. Also the hardware keeps breaking and needs to be restarted. Don’t buy Orbi mesh. Cannot recommend.

1. Read the analytics data policy - I dare you! Why do I even need to write a mail to Netgear to opt out, should be a thing you opt in to. Just by looking at the sheer amount of data collected, anyone should be concerned. 2. Must allow location services - do not see the need for anyone/anything to know my location for a simple router to work. Can be bypassed though - 1 star 3. To continue, you must create a new NETGEAR account or sign into an existing one. Bye app! Thankfully you CAN setup and control your device without the app and further registration, if not, the router would have been returned right away. If you update your data policy and change for users to opt in on all the nice not so much needed features, I would consider using the app in the future. ASUS delivers a nice app without all the fuzz.

Meget ustabil performance. Gentagne reboots. Udfald. Dårlig wifi dækning i huset trods tre dyre wifi 6 ORBI netværkspunkter. Usikkerhed i app om oplysninger om status på netværksikkerhed. Netgear ORBI netværksløsning er helt generelt en utrolig dårlig oplevelse og ringe bekendtskab. Kan ikke anbefale Netgear ORBI netværksløsninger, der byder på ringe support der både er langsommelig og ikke løser simple udfordringer. Kig andre steder hen når du skal handle et Mesh netværk, og hold dig fra Netgear ORBI.

I just tested our speed- and the upload and download difference between Orbi units and pc is 860 Mbit/s🤬

So I have to log on to a netgear account to configure my router? A) how am I supposed to log on if I dont have internet? B) why is this a REQUIREMENT at all? Absolutely useless design
