I've been using NetNewsWire, and it's been a game-changer for keeping up with my news. Initially, it synced perfectly with my Feedly account, and now I've moved over to FreshRSS seamlessly. The notification feature is incredibly handy for staying up to date, and the dark theme is a great touch. Keep up the good work!
Excellent app, the only thing I’d add to it would be the ability to block articles from appearing based on key words.
I love this app. The only thing I wish it had was some sort of “filtering” ability to mute certain words or phrases and automatically hide those related articles. I’d happily pay a one time fee for that.
This is an excellent, flawless application… it does what it’s supposed to and some! Love that I can download the MacOS version straight from your website and not the store… Love you Devs! Thank u! This tool keeps me up to date, organized and at maximum multitasking!
I rarely review things, but this app deserves praise. It's open source, no nonsense, no ads, just reading your news sources. Ditched all google's news services for tracking and pushing nonsense. To the devs: Excellent job folks!
Although NetNewsWire is currently my preferred RSS reader, I take major issue with the lack of manual control of feed updates. In order to control when it updates, I’ve disable background refresh and keep cell data turned off for this app, except for when I ACTUALLY WANT the app to update. ——————————- To fix this anti-feature, they simply need to provide a manual option that never updates feeds unless explicitly commanded to do so. When this issue is resolved, I’ll change my review to a much more positive one and give 5 stars. ——————————- I chose this app primarily due to it requiring next to no permissions to run and no requirement to sign up to an external service.
Great app that’s hampered by the lack of ability to replace the feed image with the article preview image. Would be a perfect 5 stars if that was there.
Great having this back. It is everything it was on Mac Mini years ago. Elegant and powerful.
Love it! So fast, so readable!
Everything about the program is great but it is shocking how even on the fastest Internet connections, NetNewsWire retrieves article headers so slowly that you would think you’re running on a 2400 baud modem. Once they’re loaded though, everything is fine.
