My own internet company doesn’t show all connections , I rely on this app to fully show them all

Speed test bug

ArchaicSoul on

Sadly, Apple has rendered a lot of these functions dead for one reason or another but the speed test was always great. However, one of the recent updates caused the speed test to display wildly contradictory information. The bitrate counter at the bottom will show 19mbps while the graph shows over 400mbps during the same interval. (They used to match). It also no longer records dips to zero and outtages and disconnections during the test which it did before. This app used to be good evidence for an ISP but now it’s oddly inaccurate.

Wish it provided more info, but that’s not fault of developers, that’s due to Apple locking down certain access. I get it, security. But still…

One of my go-to sleeper apps

I don’t write reviews for apps when they ask me to, but I use this app constantly so they deserve it. I’ll keep it short. If you’re a nerd trying to make an iPad work as your primary “laptop”, or you do network troubleshooting on the road, you _need_ this app. I’m using it all the time to find devices on the network, check the quality of my connection, or find that mysterious open port. Super handy tool to have on all your iOS / iPadOS devices.
