## New Horizons Description
Travel to worlds at the edge of the solar system aboard NASA’s New Horizons, the first mission to Pluto and the distant Kuiper Belt. This app brings you inside this historic voyage, from the New Horizons spacecraft and its science instruments, to the latest news and pictures, to education programs and activities.

Main features include:

Apple Watch: See the latest imagery and countdown to pluto in the main App, and see the countdown in a glance

News: Get up-to-the-minute reports from the New Horizons news center and Twitter feed.

Media: Browse through stunning images of New Horizons or those taken by the spacecraft’s cameras as they looked in on the Jupiter system and other deep-space targets; watch videos that tell the New Horizons story from the idea stage through its upcoming rendezvous with Pluto.

Info: Take a tour of the New Horizons spacecraft; check out the payload of miniature science instrument and examine the data these tools are already sending back to Earth.

Tools: How – and when – will New Horizons reach the Pluto system? Open the locator to follow New Horizons along its path toward Pluto, and check the countdown clock to see exactly how much time remains – down to the second – before New Horizons sails past the dwarf planet and its four known moons on July 14, 2015. (Wonder how long it would take to fly, drive, bike or walk to Pluto? This section has the answers!)

## New Horizons Reviews in United States

### *---- "Crashes immediately on iOS 12.4 on iPad"
Too bad. Hopefully JPL will update, retest, and release.
-- 72850007, 2019-08-10

### ***** "Doesn’t work on iOS 12"
I loved this app. Worked great on the Pluto flyby but didn’t work for the Kiper belt object flyby.
-- Just me 3000, 2019-01-05

### ***** "Please update 2018"
Hi,

Wonderful app for those of us who like to follow the mission.

Please fix for ios12

Thank you
-- antari6675, 2019-01-01

### *---- "Fix this app asap or fire the jerk who messed it up at Hopkins"
This app is almost a brain dead creation by you jerks who can't even program an iPad app to work I am amazed we even got to Pluto with this kind of crap software..app fails to update and it fails to open when reinstalled so now there is nothing you morons...yes morons I am a Ph.D. From Berkeley and you should be publicly reprimanded for this
-- Dr q c, 2016-01-17

### ****- "New Horizons"
The app works great. Folks need to be patient as science takes time. The imagery is clear and things are organized nicely.
-- Klupki, 2015-08-02

### *---- "Low-res images :("
You need to include @2x and @3x images. I went to look at the pictures but they were too low-real to read the text in the image.
-- Philly Greg, 2015-07-25

### ****- "Great app, judge for your self"
I'm a programmer by trade. Here's the deal, people are quick to complain and demand that all the crap they have running on their phones should work with everything else all the time. This app draws on other servers (they can't control) plus they do not have the resources to program safeguards against poor programming of other apps. If you have Angry Birds, TV Guide and FXX Now all loaded you're lucky anything works. Bottom line, this is not a commercial app. You might need to meet it half way.

Get this app, it's fun, but do as I do: before loading, first shut down all other apps (remove from memory) and reboot your device. If you have problems, consider an operating system update. Be sure you have a solid wifi connection while using. I noticed that the app does not recover well from choking while accessing outside servers (like YouTube, etc.). Try to only use this app when using to a reliable Internet connection.

I've had zero problems and lots of fun.
-- Scott A. Lowe, 2015-07-20

### ****- "I expected more"
The app as been crashing for the past 3 days I will reinstall but it defiantly needs a complete overall I expected more out of this app from JHU-APL
-- Da Real JAYSTONE, 2015-07-19

### *---- "Disappointment"
Yep, completely worthless - if New Horizon had been built by whoever built this ”app" it would have crashed long b4 it reached Pluto…
-- Phredrum, 2015-07-17

### ****- "Dude"
Great app. It is organized well. It has videos, pictures and artists renditions. I am looking forward to getting news updates.
