Note that the Music Sync experience is a feature that when active will continue to play music and stay active while the app is in the background, and that continued use of the Music Player running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Note: "Continued use of GPS running in the background and using IFTTT running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life."

## New ilumi Reviews in United States

### **--- "Lights work great after 8 years, but app is horrible and will never get updated again"
App is seriously out of date and only functions correctly sometimes

Setting default colors should include the set power percentage
-- JMB829, 2025-09-26

### ***** "Instant environment creator"
While this isn’t a perfect app, and sometimes the lights don’t trigger perfectly, I still love these lights. I have about 15 lights in my recording studio, and I change them according to playing, mixing, or if I need a ton of brightness for working on gear or anything complicated. Instant vibe and workflow changes at your fingertips.
-- Riffmachine, 2025-08-15

### *---- "Always logs out of Facebook and doesn’t let you log back in"
Trash service
-- Sleepi369, 2025-03-18

### ***** "Still working like new after almost ten years."
Still working better than the cheap Chinese knock offs.
-- JAMR1, 2025-01-09

### **--- "Trouble with app"
I wasn’t able to log into the app with my Facebook account (got error message) but when I try and log in with my email address and password it is stuck at 0% forever. You can’t change the color of the bulbs any other way but through the app. I think my husband might be able to change the color on the app on his phone, but I’m not able to. Functionality could be a lot better.
-- Adie0510, 2024-11-27

### *---- "Abandoned App"
I have a troubled history with ilumi. The concept was so cool back when it was starting out, but now the app (a 2nd generation rework) has clearly been abandoned. Bulbs no longer pair, sign-in is required to manage bulbs but the authentication portal doesn’t work as expected, and the last update was 6 years ago.

If you’re going to enforce auth or have an opaque bluetooth pairing (compared to LIFX where wifi connection is explicit to your phone, ilumi obscures bluetooth availability to the app), you should at least maintain the base functionality of your app.
-- Feedback Feedbag, 2024-10-04

### *---- "Very glitchy and stressful"
I have had multiple times where the app just randomly stopped working completely and wouldnt let me sign into my account for weeks. I tried contacting and getting help but they just told me the app is glitchy. I use the illumi as my main source of light in my rooom and when it stops working all the time it’s so frustrating. If it’s not too late I would get a different brand and not illumi. the bulb is great and i love it, the app is just glitchy and too stressful to deal with and not worth it.
-- p0t4to, 2024-06-09

### ***** "Ilumi app login not functioning…"
Hello, I am curious as to what happened to Ilumi app? Is it now non existent? It’s in the App Store but will not allow you to log in. What’s happening? I have 9 indoor bulbs and one outdoor and they all cycle thru Red blue green start up and stay bright day light and cannot reset to custom function setting because app is not responding? Anyone having same problem?
-- son of eddie, 2024-06-02

### *---- "Doesn’t work"
Only opens up to a screen telling me to turn in Bluetooth. Despite Bluetooth being on. That’s it. That’s all it does.
-- misfortune most unfortunate, 2024-04-17

### ***** "Illumi Bluetooth LED Bulb"
Love it great effects go get asap easy to set up. 1 bulb for average size bedroom 2-3 for big living room
