Do NOT subscribe through this app.

I paid $100 for a subscription that the app does not recognize. I am out the money, and New Scientist refuses to do anything to help me.

A few improvements

Good app, but would love to see issue status (ie read or not read), and the ability to auto download new issues. I often binge read my magazines every few months and so have a hard time figuring out where I left off, and end up having to download/check a bunch I’ve already read. A little annoying.

Love the publication but the app could use some minor improvements - scrolling articles is jumpy because of the nav bar - scroll acceleration is also on for some reason, this is usually a feature to mimic macOS on windows, not sure why it’s happening on iOS - no search, at least I was not able to find it

In app purchase doesn’t work

The in app feature doesn’t work. I can’t log on with my Apple account ID. Good content, but for a science app, you think they’d know how technology works.

Return of an old pleasure

New Scientist was a familiar pastime in my college days 50 plus years ago, and now in my mid seventies, i am rediscovering the lost pleasures….missing a favourite…’mathematical games’ …but its a great pastime…thanks and kudos to all who are continuing the great work !

Our Favourite Magazine

New Scientist is the only magazine that my husband and I read. We have appreciated the coverage of so many topics. I’m disappointed that the app has to be connected to wifi to read it. Downloading the magazine ment I could read it when there is no wifi. Mae

Rip off

Was supposed to get 4 weeks free upon joining but was charged immediately Then I see on the app that it has a 6 weeks free offer Good way to screw people over

Content great, new app sucks

Love the content but the new app forced on us a couple weeks ago is a massive down grade. Very disappointing. I can no longer see which articles I’ve read or even which issue I’m on. And night mode has disappeared. Very frustrating to try to read. Was much better before “upgrade”

Night time reading

There is no way I can find that allows me to get a black background, like was available in previous versions

Great when you’re away.

So nice to still get access when I’m not home for the mail issue.
