Incredibly intellectually stimulating

Gin$Rum$ on

As I read an article my mind races to exciting new places. These “places” have vistas that are beautiful beyond description!

Excellent articles on Physics.

All the science articles are up to date and good...

What a Great Site

mbeemler on

Having been interested in science for the past 80 years, I found your site to be invigorating, entertaining, and with articles that are both fascinating and easy to grasp. I’m glad that I found your site.

Important news missed by the mainstream press

Mr A Magoo on

Reading New Scientist has caused me to change my behavior to stay safer, healthier and to do more personally to help the environment. The Covid information was invaluable, such as learning early on that it spreads in aerosols rather than just droplets. You learn things that almost no one else knows about.

Wider range of science than other magazines

energyskeptic on

Not only is the range of coverage better, most authors are good writers. Not just climate change but the other dozen existential threats that are just as important such as biodiversity loss. And when fossil f you El alternatives are discussed, it is not just rah rah gushing hopium but challenges as well

Unable to cancel

Al@a2 on

I have about 3 weeks to cancel (new subscription) but there is no “manage subscription” page.. just a 1/4 page of nonsense in very small print. WTH?

The best content in the worst app

way way uptown on

I have read and loved New Scientist for over 2 decades. This app does not do justice to the content. The app retains control of how and when content is downloaded. If you’re in airplane mode, for example, or commuting in a metro with no reliable Wi-Fi, you’ll find that the app did not download most images. Or it stopped the download after a few sections. Or, worst of all, it automatically deleted content you’d spent time downloading. When I say “spent time downloading “, I mean just that. You must scroll to the end of every page for the entire issue if you want it to land safely on your tablet. But don’t go too far, because you don’t want to trigger auto-delete by accident! It is only because the magazine is so good that I put up with this nonsense. Maybe I’ll try Zeno instead.

Getting a subscription with a sign in set of credentials is difficult beyond my usual experience so I don't want to waste more time trying to subscribe I may try again in a few months as hopefully you will correct such annoying difficulties

Fascinating and significant information

Sisterlouse on

I learn things that I don’t find elsewhere. This is a great source for useful news. Thanks

NewScientist magazine is a breath of fresh air….

Ken Abrams on

One, I’m a geek who loves science. And two, I’m tired of the vitriol, hatred, and misinformation (formerly lies) that X (formerly Twitter) spews and other news media report on. NewScientist is a British science magazine, and it talks about accomplishments and new areas of research in an easy to read format. Well researched articles describe new areas in Space, Technology, Physics, Health, Mind and Environment. Politics? Well, occasionally, but it’s not a focus and doesn’t have it’s own section. Sports? Well, unless it’s related to one of the other subjects, not really. I’m pleased to have this resource to go to.
