Very sad to see floating ads in the New Scientist app. Constantly there, taking up 10% of the screen and extremely distracting, I will have to cancel my digital subscription because I can’t see myself wanting to use the app anymore, which was the primary way I read your content.
I have ADHD and tiny google ads added over articles totally break my concentration on reading. I dont think I'll renew my subscription because of those which is kind of sad because I love the content itself.
Content is ok, but cancellation of subscription is nearly impossible and that represent the review score.
The content is great, that's why I purchased a subscription. However, getting the registration and user verification to work is a pain in the ass. Had I known it was this hard I wouldn't had bought a subscription.
A weekly collection of well curated short articles, that cheer me up while educating me. My favourite weekly read.
New Scientist has been part of my life for over 40 years ….. the app is brilliant …. Thoroughly recommended
After I stopped my subscription I tried to read past issues which I had bought and which I can no longer access without paying again. Robbery or fraud?
It’s good but could be better if these two things were included: 1. Ability to tap an article name on the magazine cover to take you to the article. 2. if when you played the magazine on Bluetooth it didn’t default to previously played articles from an earlier issue.
I love new scientist. It provides me with all the latest science news, and explains it all in a comprehensive way.
