I like watching News 9 on the app on my phone in the mornings, but I prefer the commercials that are on TV. The Oklahoma beauty commercials are great the first couple of times but not all the time. I don’t watch TV that often so I get my new some weather from the app.

I like watching news 9 when there’s bad weather. This morning I woke up to the sirens going off. I clicked on the live weather coverage and had to watch an advertisement before I could see where the tornado was?!?! Seconds can make  the difference between life and death during a tornado!

This is twice that the app shows commercials when the tornado is in are area and stays on commercials until tornado has passed. What is going’s on? I think this is terrible. Way to go news 9. We had no clue what was going on with the storm. Ridiculous!!!!

So last night I was woken up by the sirens going off. When I attempted to view the weather on the news 9 app there was nothing but adds there was no available weather info unlike KOCO5 which I switched over to successfully view the tornado threat. We had several touch down.

Dealt with this for almost a year. Every time I would try to look at the radar it wouldn’t update - kind of like they wanted to force me to watch the live feed. Gave up and switched to KOCO app because their radar actually works. Too bad because I believe News 9 to be a superior station.

Local weather and sports feature good reporting but just about all national news and some echoed local influence doesn’t (imo) reflect the feelings of most Oklahomans.   Wasn’t really aware of the seriousness of this with the three major networks until this rough election season.

It seem I am unable to locate where I can turn off notifications I don’t want for instance, if I didn’t want sport notifications there is no place to turn them off or on.  The only choice I see is all off(no notifications) or all on.
I know there use to be a place to choose the notifications you wanted but there is no I can find. Tired of all the notifications.

The main issue with this app, is the breaking story’s I do t care to read about (i.e 10 motor vehicle collisions per day) all lead to the article. But any other story? Nope. Just get the home page and then the notification for it is gone. So if you want an app you have a 50/50 chance of actually seeing the news report, this is just for you.
