Annoying pop ups

Can’t read a single article without stupid game advertisements freezing the screen with a pop up to download their app.

Dreadful

This app is so buggy, it needs to be shut down multiple times just to read a few articles. And most of the articles are very irritating to read - journalists who don’t know the first thing about grammar, spelling errors everywhere… 1st grade stuff. Honestly the worst news service out there. I only gave it 1 star because there was no option to give it zero.

Crashes on startup

Didn’t even get past the log in screen after downloading the app before it started crashing! What a joke

Rubbish

Firstly, the journalism is absolute trash …. “This one thing happened in this one state” …. Or we are all going to cook is a massive heatwave, or get drowned in the biggest floods since Noah. It is just sensationalism at its worst. Secondly, the app jumps all over the place to accomodate the adverts. You see a story, the app jumps, and then the story appears elsewhere. At times it even shows the same story twice.

Pathetic End User Experience

The actual news is good and varied. The app, it is one of the worst. Very glitchy Constantly freezes, resulting in multiple taps on a story, only for it to open numerous times. It updates every time you return to the main page which results in stories jumping all over the screen Ad’s are everywhere, ad revenue is more important than the User Experience. Just all round a very poor implementation of something that should be pretty easy

Heats up my iPhone 14 Pro Max and drains battery

The latest few versions have killed this app! It now heats up my iPhone 14 Pro Max really hot and slows down while phone until I force quit it. I’m not sure if it is some of the embedded ads running unlimited frame rate maxing out the CPU/GPU or if they are running something in the background to mine crypto on everyone’s phones to make $. It’s certainly not normal and no other apps on my phone have such bad performance. Seriously, you guys need to do some basic QA testing on some iPhones and fix these major performance issues. I’m close to uninstalling and just using ABC News app which works smoothly. Also your ads get triggered when I don’t even click them, when scrolling down an article, launching the advertised game in the App Store. Disgraceful!

I used to love this app. Now while trying to read an article, this app game loads up to try and get me to make a purchase (White Wash or something like that). The app constantly freezes half way through reading an article. Think I might delete this app.

Won’t work on older iPad iOS

Still waiting for this to be fixed.... for months after recent undated won’t work on older iPad iOS. Please fix
