The RSS app I’ve been looking for

Ever since Google Reader went away, I’ve been using a “good-ish” alternative. That got a bit buggy and laggy and irritating so I decided that after all of these years someone has to have created something for people like me. Turns out it’s this one! The sign of a good design is if the tool fades into the background and just works. Less focus on the tool, more focus on the news. LOVE IT!!

The most aggressive ads I have ever seen

Ads are fine but ads that pop up nearly every paragraph and are difficult to dismiss are too much. I get that you want me to pay money but this is excessive.

Needs to stop popup videos

Popup videos are starting to ruin the experience. The Verge, Reuters, other news sites are abusing this more and more. The app needs to not permit this. It also seems we've lost a setting to stop viewing Safari pages in Reading Mode. It's stuck on for me on certain sites (and my main Safari settings have no "Automatically use Reader on").

Fails every time I reset iOS/iPadOS. Have to re-add all subscriptions.

Constant crashing

The last update broke the app. I've been using this for years without any issues but every time I use it now it will crash within a minute or two. Unusable. I have downloaded another reader. I've deleted it and reinstalled twice and cycled power on my iPad. No improvement. Seems to be an app issue.

Development stalled!

I 100% agree with the stalled review. This app doesn’t even have the simple option to open native apps when clicking on links. I’m not renewing after my subscription expires.
