## NextPass Easy Toll Payments Description
Better tolling starts here. More coverage. More convenience.

NextPass is the future of tolling with fast and easy payments you can track. You don’t have to deal with minimum balances, equipment, monthly subscription fees, pre-payment, or electronic tags when you roll with us!

With NextPass, only pay for tolls you pass, when you pass them. Just download the app, create your account, add your license plate, and you’ll be ready to drive on tolls in 21 states and provinces!

How it Works:

            1. Download the app, then add your email, license plate, and a valid payment method.
            2. Remove your vehicle from any previous tolling account(s).
            3. Pay as you go with tolls in free-flowing fast lanes (tolls with gated arms are not supported).

NextPass is available in these states: California, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Ontario, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia.

## NextPass Easy Toll Payments Reviews in United States

### *---- "Did NOT work"
Set everything up: name, rental car plate, credit card. Toll tag closed. Ted Williams tunnel! I checked everything EVERYTHING twice! Charged $10 by Avis not the $1.50 this jank app was supposed to bill me. So… where’s the explanation of failure or any record on the app?

### ***** "Great job NextPass Team!"
This is a really-well built app that works really well. They charge about 15% for the service, but I think it’s worth it, because I don’t have to deal with the terrible state-run toll payment systems, which are truly terrible in most states. I’ve lived in 12 states in the last 10 years, so I have some familiarity, and using a license plate number (instead of a silly tag) is a much better way to track and pay tolls.

### ***** "Loved"
Loved

### ***** "Appreciation"
Sorry, the bank changed my card because there was suspicious activity fraudulently trying to use it by scammers. However, thank you so much for understanding.
-- Kusirika, 2025-12-02

### *---- "Did not work as advertised"
I did everything correctly and it did not register one single toll. I activated the rental car tag and made sure there was no transponder in the car. I got a huge bill from the rental car company for unpaid tolls. Very disappointed.

### *---- "Doesn’t work"
Downloaded app to use on PA turnpike. 6 weeks after trip, I got a bill from PA Turnpike. Yet trip never showed up in my NextPass account. NextPass never detected that I made the trip. Wish I could give it 0 stars. It doesn’t work.
-- Commissioner Cyborg, 2025-09-02

### **--- "Not for Rental Cars"
Do not use this app for a rental car if there is any chance you will be turning in the car early. There is no option to stop the tolls from being charged to your rental vehicle is you don’t edit the return time 24 hours in advance. So…..if you finish your day early and take an earlier flight, the next person to use your rental car will have their tolls charged to your account up until the termination time you entered on the app when you first rented the vehicle. You cannot edit the return time or delete the vehicle from your account. When I inquired about this, they said I should have read the fine print. Total scammy rip off!!!

### *---- "Can’t sign up"
It’s not allowing me to sign up
-- Taiwo126, 2025-03-29

### *---- "Charges"
I am being charged for tolls on days when my car didnt leave the garage. I cant find a number to call or anyway to dispute charges.
-- BNArtavia, 2025-03-07

### ***** "So so much better than Txtag"
I used to have a Txtag account. I deleted it and switched the NextPass because they were a nightmare to deal with. NextPass has great customer support and it’s easy for me to see how much I’m spending on tolls. With Txtag was very difficult to get that information.
