Have you ever stood at the end of a platform, wondering whether your train might be late, not being able to see the display board?  Left your glasses at home and can't read the screens? Ever been in a crowded station standing by the gates for platform 3 to get your favourite seat, knowing your train normally leaves from there but you can't see the board so you're not sure?   Still in the office, wondering if you should make a run for it?

We have the answer! NexTrain brings the station display board right to you, minute by minute, using the same train updates that power the display boards themselves - National Rail Enquiries. Our goal is to bring you the same experience you can benefit from at the platform, but in your hand.

Loving the variety of boards available. Would be good to have a widget so your local station could be displayed permanently on your phone Home Screen. Perhaps an open for live activities too? I’ve subbed for a month’s trail for the Apple Watch option but it crashes before any information can be displayed unfortunately.

This is great little app that I have used consistently for years now.

I have only a few suggestions for improvement - it would be great if it could incorporate standby mode on iOS somehow, so when my phone is charging in landscape there is a widget which will show trains for my nominated station. It would also be good to incorporate line disruption/delay notifications if possible? 

Lastly, I would like to go pro but don’t want to sign up for an annual, recurring fee. It would be good if there was a lifetime option that might cost a little more, but it’s just one transaction.

These are all just suggestions against what is a very good and thoughtful app. Thank you for developing it.

I love this app for its convenience. No faff, open and see the upcoming departures. I’m going to run this on an old iPhone for my grandfather who lives next to a railway line. Perhaps Audio Announcements would be an optional future feature?

### ***-- "Not perfect, but a neat gimmick"
Seeing live upcoming departures is available in most apps or websites, but it's never displayed with an authentic looking departure screen aesthetic like this. Sadly, it's not perfect, as most of the views do not include the train operator, or only include the operator as part of the scrolling text at the bottom, which isn't accurate to the real boards. In fact, that limitation makes me unlikely to use this at actual stations since knowing the operator is necessary for the tickets around here (Crewe to London tickets especially) and a disambiguation between fast and slow trains departing at the same time is sometimes necessary. I do have to stress that this is the main issue I have with it, and for local journeys or stations with only one operator for a destination, it's perfect as is.
