Just one issue

This app is pretty good, does what I need it to do and I can read the news I want to read. But for some reason, none of the articles I’m reading contain apostrophes. It’s like they’ve been removed, and voiceover will read things to me like, “can t” or “didn t”. What’s up with that? Is this a weird thing the developers have done, rather than escaping the ‘ apostrophe character? No clue, but anyhow that’s my only complaint.

why do you make changes without input from the users?

once again, you’re making changes without input from the users. The weather forecast is now much more tedious than it was containing information that’s totally useless. We are not scientists please remove the decimal point from the wind, speed and temperature. It makes no sense, including this information, and only makes the app more tedious than you have already made it tedious by making a swipe past periods in a text. also, why is there no response from NFB News Line regarding the 300 comments that are in place? Why are you so out of touch with the people you’re supposed to be serving?

Very disappointed

First of all I very much appreciate NFB News Line and the people that are providing us with this content I’ve been a user for many years and felt that the original version was much better. The new version it is so tedious it’s just plain sad. I read the Boston Globe and recently they did away with being able to read articles line by line. Spacev there’s no way to read an article line by line so if I miss something near the end I have to start all over again on a waste of my time. Adding a reader to this app was just such a big mistake. Regarding the my favorites section it worked just fine before I could read the whole paper going back-and-forth back-and-forth back-and-forth from page to page it’s extremely tedious and not very well done. I have called the 800 number many times and talked about things that don’t work and they’re very helpful. It’s about a year later and they still haven’t fixed saving an article to my email. Also, many publications have incomplete articles like Consumer Reports. The first four articles are nonexistent just a byline and a headache.

Global news search not working in 3.3.1

Randy-B on

United States

No matter which device I use, iPhone or iPad, global news search always tells me that there is a problem communicating with the server. So I can't look up anything. Other than that, it's a great app and provides a service to great to evaluate.

I got good news and bad news

JC Sears on

The app has been very effective for for several years but starting in July 1 the new update has caused the app to be unusable I have notified the helpdesk and only have been told today to reinstall this must be corrected because I utilize this app daily

Latest update has made the app on usable

wbsjr0214 on

United States

The latest 3.1 update on July 2, 2022 has made the news line app unusable. I am no longer able to open individual articles. This renders the app useless. This is very disappointing to me because I use this app daily. It is my primary source of news information. Sure do hope whoever is responsible for the app figures out what has broken, and pushes an update ASAP.

Keeping updated in today’s world

Politically speaking access to the left and to the right worldwide. Lots of good entertainment, environmental issues, and access to the medical world.

Out of the darkness

I would like to state my appreciation for the NFB Newsline for providing a wide range of magazines, and other interesting information that would otherwise not be accessible to blind persons. I love the fact that smartphones can access this service on-the-go and how easy it is to navigate. Thank you for opening the eyes for blind people, by helping us to access a great variety of topics. I give a rating of excellent!
