Great content available but the interface really lets it down. 

Can’t fast forward or rewind on Apple TV. Can’t pause using controls on AirPods. 

It would also really benefit from remembering which episodes of shows have been watched so you can easily find new content.

Glitches: read more text box - don’t click it or you’ll be stuck there - no way to leave that box.

New Apple TV remote: cannot easily forward through the video being played like skipping half way… I figured I had to make a circular motion with the new remote around the outer circle to show the menu for skipping through the video. 

These are very small bugs but have a huge impact on the amazing content on this app. Please fix!!! It’s ruining what could be an incredible experience 🙏

Great content, but doesn’t use native Apple TV video player, so feels difficult to navigate compared to most other apps. There is a glitch when opening “read more” text boxes, where you have to quit the app and restart as it gets stuck there.

Really enjoy the content—especially the food stuff which is now impossible to find.

Good little app this to keep on top of things in Japan. Chromecast menu is nice but maybe a default option to allow the less mobile friendly person to tap it, select the tv, then play the live video automatically.

Since last update there’s no TV guide for iPad version, only what’s streaming Live. I’ve refused to update Iphone version in case I lose TV guide on that platform too. PS it would have had received 5 stars instead, as it’s superior to BBC in broadcasting quality.

A great app for a great broadcaster. I’ve watched so many programmes already. Japanology Plus is my favourite!

I would really like a dark mode to go along with the new system-wide dark mode in iOS 13.

Could I also ask for an NHK account service so we can sign in and save our favourite programmes? This could also sync with the NHK World website. That would be great!

I do like watching NHK and recently the casting option does not work via the app to the TV.

I am using an iPhone and casting via the app to a chromecast.

It used to work and recently there seems
to be a fault.

Nice app that enables to watch so many great programmes, but the app on AppleTV is often limited in terms of technology and user interface. Very behind...
For example, after the release of TVos 11.4 the app cannot handle AirPlay 2, it plays a programme without audio sound in the connected speakers. And overall, so cumbersome to search and find their programmes on the app.
I am sure the Japanese national broadcaster NHK can do much better than this? Please improve the app for AppleTV. The people all over the world uses this.

Very sad that they replaced the old app with this one. This one seems so much more buggy, slow, and unresponsive at regular intervals. The background is now bright white too which is invasive at night. A dark mode would be most welcome.

If you are interested in Japanese stuff this is great. I mostly use the Apple TV version. Only thing I would suggest is that on Apple TV you can't fast forward or scrub through a video so have to sit through something to get to the bit you are interested in. Otherwise great.

This is a great app, however, to make it perfect, there needs to be more available on demand programmes. Some of the best shows of NHK such as CoolJapan, NHK Documentary and Science View are not on demand. Furthermore, some on demand programmes are not updated with newer episodes.
