NHS Weight Loss Plan Reviews
Great Idea Poor Execution
Overall this is a great idea and I applaud the NHS for attempting to go down this route to help people with weight loss.
The real problem is its execution.
1. Lack of UK ingredients/ foods available, which is amazing since
2. Lack of portion sizes - you can’t even put grammes in for some foods
3. Most retailer own label foods are not present
4. You can’t copy and transfer day to day - so if you eat the same breakfast each day you have to manually input this
5. Hundreds of pointless ingredients - honestly who drinks human colostrum?!? Just type in “milk” and try and find “semi-skimmed milk”.
Great app
Great app have been using it now for 12 months, great to keep a check of your calories. Using the app together with daily exercise monitored with a pedometer I have lost 4 stone in the last 12 months down from 19stone now 15 stone , still some way to go to get to my target of 12 stone but I will get there and then sustain it. Exercise and calorie counting really does work, try it like me you will be surprised when the weight starts dropping off.
Weight loss
I really enjoy NHS Weight loss plan thanks NHS
Simple no-nonsense tracker
A straightforward app you can trust, that doesn’t try to sell you a dozen different things. NHS provided, it’s interested in supporting you with your weight loss goals rather than anything commercial. Ideal, simple support.
It works!
This app works, between July and December I lost over 3 stone. The app helped me focus on what I’m eating and sticking to the daily calorie limit made the weight fall off. I haven’t even added in an exercise regime, I just follow the app.
Thank you
Thank you NHS for teaching me to hate my body again. With a waistline of 100cm I’m clearly beyond saving. Good to know.
Worth downloading
Great free app from NHS - no ads popping up. Motivating as splits into 12 week plan and has links to other useful sites and resources. A negative is that many basic foods I put into calorie counter search cannot be found so I tend to use alongside My Fitness Pal app.
Thanks!
Really helpful app. Easy to use and gives me good structure to recording and planning my eating. Thank you NHS!
Lack of everyday food search
App could not find a single food that I used
NHS weight loss app
I have been using this for over a year and it is so good. It really helps to keep you on track as you add everything you eat and drink as you go. Plus it’s free.
