The NissanConnect Services app redefines your relationship with your Nissan by allowing you 
to connect & control your car with your smartphone.

I should be able to purchase add ons (live maps, smart alerts, remote services etc) through the App Store. I might only want remote services for a month or two and it’s too difficult to unsubscribe to services. If you made it so that I could pick and choose which services I needed, and for how long, and made it easy to unsubscribe through the app (or App Store), I’d be much more inclined to subscribe. The way it is now, it’s too difficult to unsubscribe. You shouldn’t need my credit card number, just allow me to subscribe and unsubscribe through the app or App Store.

I’ve used this app for a long time with our Hybrid Nissan and now that I’ve got a Nissan EV the app is even better!  I’m able to control a lot more of the EV, especially turning on the cars heating system to pre-condition the car before setting off in the morning which is a requirement of EV’s during the winter months.

I think Nissan have a cheek asking for payment after a year for an app that doesn’t do much even when free. Every time I try to use it, I need to uninstall and reinstall the app! All it’s good for is turning on the heating and defrosting the windscreen. Will I pay for it? Absolutely not!

The 2021 Nissan Qashqai worked perfectly with this app, it could be tracked in real time if you were expect to get picked up for travel as a passenger, you could see where it was, + all the remote Lock/unlock , lights and horn features worked ,

But when we got the 2024 Qashqai there where a lot of issues in the app with this , every time I turned on the app , the car would have a different location , usually 10 minutes late or previous locations but not the current one,
Also the app locking or horn & lights no longer work and it’s all on the same profile that has full privileges set up. 
An orange bar appears at the top saying there was a problem.

The only thing we haven’t tried is to create a new profile from scratch.
But the profiles ARE designed to add and remove cars without any expected issues or problems. 
There’s no instructions that tell us to do something to rectify this. 

There’s something wrong with new APP + NEW 2024 QASHQAI , 
The old 2021 car worked fine .

Used to be a really useful app and while I understand some features were trials, I have steadily lost all usability from the app now. The most recent thing to go was the route planner but also the ability to pre-heat the car at the same time. 

Obviously this is all now paid for and just a money grab when you’ve already paid for the car.
