指定した写真と似ている写真をiOS標準の写真アプリの中から探します。
今まではiOS標準の写真アプリの中から似た写真を探すには写真アプリの中をずっと目で見て回るしかありませんでしたが、このアプリを使うことで簡単に探すことができるようになります。
・この景色と似た景色のところにいついったっけ？
・同じメンバーで撮った写真あったかな？
・これと同じ酒以前飲んだかな？
ネットを類似画像検索してダウンロードするアプリはありますが、デバイス内に保存された自分の写真を類似検索するアプリはありませんでした。
これまでありそうでなかった新しい写真検索アプリです。
似た写真を探すだけの非常にシンプルなアプリですが、役立つアプリとしてお使いいただけると思います。
■使い方
まずは「データベース作成」ボタンを押して画像データベースを作成してください。これには少し時間がかかりますが、以後の検索を高速に実行できるようになります。
データベース作成後、画面左上の「検索」ボタンを押して写真を選択して検索を実行すると、その写真と類似度が高い写真を順に最大200枚まで一覧表示します。検索アルゴリズムの特性から完全とはいきませんが、かなり人の感覚に近いものが検索結果として順に現れますので、探したかった写真を簡単に見つけることができるようになります。
見つけた写真には、撮影した日付と場所が表示されていますので、「いつ」「どこで」をすぐに知ることができます。
検索結果の写真をタップすると、全ての写真一覧の中でその写真のある場所を表示します。見つけた写真の前後で関係のある写真を探すのも簡単にできるようになります。
また、そこで見つけた写真からさらに類似検索を繰り返すことができますので、探したかった写真を素早く見つけられるようになります。
■最新の技術
類似画像検索機能にはiOSの最新技術であるビジョンフレームワークを用いており、高精度な類似写真検索を実現しています。
画像認識は時間のかかる処理ですが、このアプリでは画像認識情報データベースを作っておくことで検索を高速にする工夫もしています。また、将来iOSの画像認識アルゴリズムが新しくなった場合には、最新のアルゴリズムに対応できるようにもなっています。
