I downloaded this app to share my landlord how noisy the machinery on the roof makes the master bedroom of my apartment. When the machinery is going, the app picks up that it’s over 70 dB but it labels it as city traffic. It’s not city traffic so I can’t use it for what I need it for. I wish it did not make assumptions about what the sound is.

Went to a dirt track race event, decided to pay .99 cents to see how loud these cars got. Easily over 100 decibels and the app only registering 93 max, as the cars pass, the decibel meter actually would show less decibels than when the cars were further away
