## Nomination Whist Description
Nomination Whist (or Nommy for short) is a trick-taking game, a whist variant, played over sixteen hands with a varying number of cards per hand. The objective is to score points by bidding (or nominating) the number of tricks that you will win in each hand and have the highest score at the end of the game. Trumps for each hand are chosen by the player with the highest bid.

The number of cards in each hand is as follows:
7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7
And then there are three additional hands:
7 No Trumps (as the name suggests, there are no trumps)
7 No Tricks (where all players must try to lose)
7 (normal)

Bidding starts with the eldest hand bidding first each deal. The total of all the bids combined may not equal the total number of tricks in the hand. The player who bids highest (or who wins a cut in the case that the highest bid is tied) chooses the trumps for the hand. The eldest hand leads the first trick and subsequently the winner of each trick leads the first card of the next trick. The deal rotates clockwise every hand.

Scoring:
Making your bid wins 10 points plus the number of tricks won
Getting less tricks than the bid wins one point per trick won
Getting more tricks than bid loses five points for the first trick over and then one additional point is deducted for each additional trick over the bid, except in 7 No Tricks where every trick won is penalised with a five point deduction

## Nomination Whist Reviews in United Kingdom

### ***** "Thumbs up."
Great wee game, the computer opponents are evil at times. I play it most days.
-- MentalMalky, 2023-01-16

### **--- "Paid for no Adverts"
I paid extra to not have adverts interrupt my game and I’m getting a Discovery + advert pop up with every game?!
-- dhtssk458!?, 2022-05-12

### **--- "Unintuitive interface and invites fail to send"
Disappointing as love nomination whist a looking for an app to play with friends. Unfortunately this is not it 😕
-- World weary traveller, 2020-12-26

### ****- "Cards with a twist."
I normally play 13 or 17 card.
7s is interesting with slightly different rules.
The computer players seem to call more over calls than under.
The over calls are optimistic, and it’s best to play your own game rather than being sucked in.
It’s a great app with a choice of 2 to 5 players. Great to wind 15 minutes off whilst queuing. I would use this app on holiday.
-- Beckedorf1, 2020-10-12

### ***** "Nomination"
I’ve been playing multiplayer the last few months which has been great. The last week we haven’t been able to connect at all unfortunately. There seems to be an issue. Please help..
-- golfertom115, 2020-05-12

### ***** "Great Version"
There are a few different ways to play Nommy and I like this one, although maybe a few more of the variants could be included?
-- Pap740, 2020-04-29

### ***** "Nice"
Great there finally is a Nommie game on the App Store! Nice and challenging
-- VENF01, 2020-04-29

### *---- "Works 1% of the time"
It is almost impossible to set up a game with friends. It’s constantly crashes or doesn’t load. The game play itself is terrible. It’s unclear when it’s your turn and it kicks you out of the game after a time. Even when it’s just you and friends.
-- peteg90, 2020-04-18

### *---- "Noddy"
We have been trying to play this app for a week and despite trying for ages we cannot all play together
-- nodddddddddddy, 2020-04-18

### *---- "Does not work"
Flat out can’t play with your friends
