Noom Weight Loss Reviews

Disappointed

Sasananaz on

Netherlands

I signed up for the third time. First time I quit because of a pregnancy l, got back on it and lost weight and kept it off. Third time around, noom swapped the personal coach for the community. For me it was the personal coach who kept me on track. Now I chat to a different coach every time. Not personal and too expensive for what they offer now.

Rip off

Tita-faten on

6 months ago, I used Noon on a trial. It didn’t really help so I deleted on my phone and moved on. Today, checking my credit card details, I see they withdrew 6 months subscription. I should have paid attention but normally when a subscription is about to be renewed, clients receive emails informing them. Well, not Noom! They surprise you. Playing on the fact that clients forget and you can milk money out of them is customer abuse! Not recommended just for that!

Content does not render well

LiBeHeMi on

Netherlands

The app is uneven- Sometimes audio is high quality voice actors and sometimes dead AI. Sometimes the graphics work and sometimes they are not visible on the iphone SE. Progress reports, supposedly to provide individual feedback, is just 1 autogenerated figure and unreadable or repetitive text. The AI assistant is nonsensical and simply delays the inevitable refer to a ‘coach’. There is a mismatch b/w advice about what to eat ( e.g. nuts) and the penalizing of those same foods in the color system ( nuts=orange).

Could be better for the price

I enjoy the psychological aspects of the book program, and I’ve signed up for 6 months to give it a go. I do have some issues or feedback. 1. I live in Europe and the database is horrible for me. 2. I have to manually create food items all the time and the input page is super glitchy. Half the time I can’t access all of the nutrition fields and have to restart the process. 3. The database is inconsistent. If you look up oats, one of the items is green and another is yellow. Same food, graded differently. 4. Logging food is very manual and can be so much better. Check Cronometer for example. I eat a lot of the same foods day to day and there’s no “multi-add” option and the slider for food weight is really silly. Why can’t I type in the weight? 5. WHY WHY WHY can I not read my daily lessons or do my food tracking on my computer? This is really a disappointment for me because I don’t want to sit on my phone for an hour every day reading and typing on a little screen. I use the Cronometer paid version to track my daily nutrients (on my PC!) and every day I have to acknowledge how much nicer the user experience is there. Please do something about your database and usability. This is an expensive app!

Logging foods is challenging

Geo Sklias on

Database really lacking food labels!

Very nice but could include fasting and time of meals

Piptilidio on

Netherlands

I am liking the experience with zoom but I miss the option of registering fasting and the time I eat certain food. Or maybe the option to pair with a fasting app. In addition, the connection with Apple Watch seems a bit limited.

Not recommended. They charge you even if you cancel

Sisolistol on

Netherlands

I cancelled my trial a week before it was supposed to end. A week went by, and I got charged for the whole 3 month program. It’s a rip-off. I read a few reviews saying similar things about the trial period, and I just assumed the people complaining were not very good at keeping tabs on their free trials (I’ve been there myself). So I gave it a try and made sure I cancelled the free trial way in advance. I even got the confirmation message, double checking I was sure I wanted to cancel. I clicked on the option that says “I think it’s too expensive”. Then cancelled it. A week later I get charged with 79€. Don’t even download this app. It’s not worth it. They’re so dishonest, there should be some kind of legal repercussions about how they do business.

Only for americans

motornepper on

Netherlands

App not user friendly

zeldzaam on

Netherlands

The weight loss program works, but the design of the app is bad. It’s fairly chaotic.

Trial can only be cancelled by unsubscribing via website

kmdnlagerweij on

Netherlands

Would be more convenient if canceling would be possible in the subscription tab in app store
