I was put onto noom by my wife and it’s genuinely helpful and effective in making you think about how and what you eat. Terms say I am not entitled to a refund because I didn’t cancel my subscription before they deducted. And AI chat the only way to contact that puts you in a loop quoting terms. The 1 star review is because the billing practices have become dodgy at best. Expect to be charged in full well before the trial runs out, sometimes the charges are significantly more than the price given, you may get charged multiple times for the same subscription and it is hit and miss as to whether you will get a refund when you call them on it. App seems to have increasing amount of inconsistent behaviour. Also my Biggest issue is that they talk often about camera and voice logging but this is only available to US customers. (Am I getting a discount? Probably not…). The food diary is not flexible enough compared to other apps and while on some entries you can select kilojoules, the value is incorrect so you must use calories. It’s a pain calculating it each time. You can’t build up your own trusted food list like you can in other apps, or quick log base nutrients if you don’t want to add to database. Leaving the app open overnight results in the dashboard missing options such as log food and you have to close and reopen app. Now the motivation messages have completely disappeared and Weli started to provide feedback and then stopped. Thinking of returning to other previously used tools.
