I have been charged twice even after multiple chats with the Customer service team to cancel my subscription. They come back with an excuse that at their end the subscription is not cancelled. Think before you subscribe.
Beware of using this App - they advertise a trail period and will charge you for a full year’s subscription even before you cancel the free trail period!
It is very difficult to cancel the subscription trial .. probably is their tactics to trick people to continue to subscribe to their app . You have to contact the specialist which will make you go through another process to get your Apple email if you using iPhone . Overall the program is kinda underwhelming for me … it is faster to read the content on google rather than wait day by day to unlock the content .. and yes , also the coach takes a day to respond. And sometimes the coach recommend some recommendation that you have no ideas on bcos you have not unlocked the content yet .. which is pretty lame to me .. the graphics is nice … apart from that , it is just an expensive and overrated app
I’ve found it hard to lose weight my whole life. I’m a foodie so it’s very difficult for me to go on diets. I decided to give Noom a shot after doing their quiz. To my surprise, I began to see small results from the get-go, just by walking every day (reaching my step goal), keeping to a calorie budget, and drinking water. Yes, I had to sacrifice some fried foods and sugared drinks to keep within the calorie count, but overall I could still eat food that I enjoy, without starving myself. And that’s what I love about Noom. The psychology lessons are helpful and helps me to pace myself and manage expectations. There are no extreme workouts or diets, Noom encourages a sustainable journey, not one-hit wonders. I used to think I had to make drastic changes to my lifestyle in order to lose weight, but now, but improving my knowledge and being more self-aware of my daily thoughts, decisions and actions, I’m seeing positive and motivating results. If you’re the same type of person as me, I encourage you to give this app a shot. The user interface is nice to use and intuitive. My only gripes are that the food catalogue (for logging calories) are not so developed for Asian food yet. I usually have to counter-check against other sites. The coach/support team takes a few days to reply, sometimes don’t reply at all (which is fine for me cos I’m pretty self-motivated). The subscription plan is expensive and it would be great if the company could consider reducing it.
Amazing step by step advice and in bite sizes to digest. Quizzes to track the understanding of the conceitsy was very helpful. Eating anything will never be the same for me.
It’s highly priced and tricks you on subscription. Doesn’t have any plans only talk shows. Least motivating, recommendation is to avoid using this app.
One month in and nothing’s happening. Noom should consider people with health conditions. My fibromyalgia is messing up with my psych. I’m so busy I hardly have time to rest and Noom takes all my time just looking for nutritional content just because I have to log my meals! It’s frustrating!
Recipes and option to do individual meal planning should be available to use on a desktop. It is such a hassle to be working on the iOS app alone. And no, the recipes on the noom.com/blog are not as comprehensive and user-friendly as the one on the app. Need more than the favorite button, a working meal planner should be available. Will be back and ready to pay once that feature is available on both app and desktop.
I subscribed to Noom at about $60/ month. Got a sense that it’s expensive so tried to search their site for pricing information and couldn’t find any details. So asked the coach thrice and he didn’t reply!! And then asked the customer support and got the same silent treatment. Finally called their US helpline on an international call to get the details I wanted!! Meanwhile I had searched for the same info using another email and the information was provided promptly!! Seems Noom response is prompt only till the moment you start your subscription!! Otherwise an excellent product and very well designed program!!
