Description

This app only does one thing and that's to help you take better photos of the aurora borealis, aka the northern lights.

Here's the scenario - so you see the northern lights (!! - awesome for you, by the way), but you don't have a fancy digital camera with you. Thankfully, you have your trusty iPhone or iPad!

OK! Now what??

Do you know the tips and tricks to take photos of the northern lights ? Great, if you do! Enable manual mode; set the focus to infinity; change the temperature to a certain number; change the ISO between certain values; change the shutter speed to something else....wait what...?

Don't worry, this app does all of that for you so all you have to do is find those lights. ISO, shutter speed, long exposure mode, temperature, check check check. There are 3 presets that you can choose from based on the brightness of the aurora lights that you're seeing. Those don't work? Try out custom mode until you get that 'good-enough-for-me-to-show-to-my-friends' snap and take as many photos as you'd like!

Worth a shot ! (hah..a...was funny when this was typed...)

Great app

Andrewhogan357 on

Worked really well with a tripod, phone has to be still when taking the picture.

I found it good

HELP@HAND on

Basically what this app does is adjust the aperture, the exposure and the ISO level on your iPhone, so you don’t have to. It does exactly what it says on the tin! One thing that they should stress is that your iPhone needs to be kept still, ideally on a stand or propped up against something solid and triggered with your watch. As with any camera, using it with a long exposure means holding it in your hand will only lead to blurry photos. Steady your phone, take your pictures!!! Good app.

Terrible app

Orla Ireland on

Don’t waste your money, absolutely terrible app, didn’t capture NorthernLights on it, instead I used my iPhone 8 and captured them perfectly ... panic bought .. don’t do it.. keep your money.. bring a good camera instead. If it was possible to give 0 stars I would.

Awful

Worst app ever! I have an iPhone 8 which captured the pictures 100 times better! Do not buy this app a complete and utter waste of money!!!!

The pictures, though it looks like the lights didn’t show up at first, turned out great! Worth the money for the app if there’s even a chance you’ll see the lights truuuust me
