So i switched to this app thinking of “save money” from Trainline which by the way is only £2 pounds …….. BUT THIS APP doesn’t allow me to change my train tickets!!! (Unlike Trainline) so do better
Language options
It would be great if the app has the language options, especially for those who can’t read English.
Nice experience
This is now much better than t####ne and cheaper too. Don’t make the mistake now of throwing a load of improvements into the app without a lot of thought (the mistake t####ne has made and is a complicated mess)
Easy peasy
So simple, and better that the money goes to the train company and not a ticket agency such as others we know.
Affordable and easy to use
I hunted around for the best price for my trip. I reside in Liverpool and had care work to do in Morecambe. The tickets on Northern train was a lot cheaper than the other platforms I was on. What a relief! There is nothing worse than travelling far for work only to be charged half your salary for that shift! This really made my day to find some extra savings!
As dysfunctional and unreliable as the trains
Used to be fine until they forced you to log in or register to buy tickets. Attempted to register within the app and got the wheel of death after I entered my information so went onto the website to do it. Closed the app and then tried to log in with my new account and it didn’t even recognise it 🙄 sooner this lot are renationalised the better
Not better than trainline
The UI is so poor that I accidentally booked a ticket for that day rather than the day after and they had the nerve to charge me £10 in order to change it! It was genuinely cheaper to buy a new ticket altogether!
Live Times
Don’t understand why the live times shows the progress of the train between the selected journey stations. I would be on that train and can look out of the window for that. What should happen is the live times should show the progress of the train as it journeys towards the station I intend to get on at so I can time my arrival at the station where I would get on.
Tap, tap, tap and here’s my ticket!
I think my title says it all, I can search by station code or train station name, on my old iPhone the app is very quick, travel options are quickly brought back and with Apple Pay and Apple wallet, it’s a doddle to use.
