Prevents access to internet
It has been several weeks since the app has stopped my phone from accessing the web. I have to disable Web Protection to be able to use the internet. Despite several updates, this bug has yet to be fixed. What is the point of a web security if it prevents access to the web altogether? Now the latest released version from yesterday (June 12, 2019) still has the same bug. I wouldn’t keep the auto-update feature on if I knew Norton’s latest updates were going to be such flops. Update on August 21, 2019: I communicated with Norton and explained the problem in a long session. I was told it was my WiFi internet provider’s security settings that caused this. But I never attempted to use another WiFi, because I knew it was not a WiFi security problem. Today I updated my iOS to 12.4 and tried the Web Protection again. It is now working. I have also noticed that the Norton security app has been updated to a new version 2 days ago. This clearly means that the latest version of Norton is working on the latest version of iOS, and it was a bug that was fixed. Please take note of this matter for future updates, so the same issues don’t happen again.
