Nosh is owned and operated by local restaurant owners who came together to offer an alternative to the national for-profit food delivery companies that dominate the market. At Nosh, we strive to:

MAKE DELIVERY AFFORDABLE AND SUSTAINABLE

Most consumers do not know, but food delivery is very expensive to restaurants. Margins in the restaurant industry are very thin, and the commission rates national delivery companies charge is much higher than most independents' profit margins. In places like New York city, third-party food delivery has put many small restaurants out of business. We love our restaurants, and we want them to thrive so they can continue to offer great food and service to our community. For that reason, we keep commission rates charged to restaurants as low as possible.

FOCUS ON CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE

Food delivery is a complex and challenging logistics system. There are many pieces to the puzzle, and they all must perfectly attach to one another. At Nosh, we know that even when we strive to give customers the best possible delivery experience, mistakes will eventually be made. For us, it's all about making it right, and if we make a mistake, bending backwards to then make it right. We respect our customers, and as restaurant owners, we want them to be as satisfied with delivery as they are when they come into one of our restaurants.

Most of this money goes back to the companies' headquarters and the pockets of the venture capitalists who funded them. Horrible

Terrible app, kept crashing and not saving my changes. Also didnt save my card after i signed in. Waste of 15 minutes and hangry now

Ugh

Freezes routinely, both app and website attempt to trick you into overpaying by repeatedly imposing an 18% tip (on delivery!) and there’s no map. Just a lazy outfit.

Local restaurants are the best!

This app is easy to use and the company is fantastic. The drivers are friendly and I like being able to support local businesses. (Since they redid the app, I’ve only had one glitch with it and they sorted it out quickly.) Customer Service is awesome! I’ll take that over my experiences with the “big” companies any day. Keep it up Nosh!

Recent app improvements

Updating my review from a few months ago to say that the latest updates are a big improvement. Occasionally the app is kinda buggy, but I’ll take that to support local businesses over using DoorDash. Nosh’s customer support is excellent, too — the two times I’ve had issues with my order and had to call, they were extremely helpful and responsive (and the person answering the phone was located right here in town). —————— Previous review: This latest update has rendered the app unusable. I would’ve given the previous version of the app a solid 4 stars — not flawless, but clean and easy to use. Not the case anymore.

I prefer to use a local company to order from local restaurants instead of big chains. The app works fine.

Constantly improving with a great new rewards program. They also have exclusive restaurants which you won’t find on other delivery services.

Great service; app needs a tweak

Over the last few years, since I’ve been using NOSH, never had an incorrect delivery or an issue with delivery. Have abandoned all other services. Two problems with the app. Can’t seem to reorder from a previous delivery. Also, after an order I have been consistently getting a handful (5) of the same message “You order’s status has been updated.” All the same contents, one right after the other.

Better than it was

Now you can accrue points which is nice.
