Big problem now, while writing on the iPad Air, some strokes are written and then somehow auto deleted. Just imagine writing an = sign and it becomes a - Writing H and it becomes a -| Writing a + and it becomes a | I don't know whats up, but GoodNotes5 doesn't has this problem. Other than that, PDF viewing, annotating and using everything that Notability is known for is excellent.
Noticed the version history but I don’t know what exactly is the support given so just asking.
The app is laggy while writing for awhile nowadays, normally after I have added a photo or after the first page of the note taking. The words wont appear as i am while writing in the notes in the app and would only appear after few seconds. Often have to restart the app because of this issue. Bugs me all the time whenever this happens !
I bought the Notability app before it became a subscription based service. It did not force yearly subscription and was still usable, giving access to limited features and updates, which is still bearable. Recently as I was writing in a note, a pop up appeared stating that all notes are now only in Read-only mode, as I’ve reached my usage limit. It’s ridiculous that they limit edit rights, and completely BLOCK OFF ALL editing beyond that, which will only be renewed in the next month, UNLESS WE PAY FOR THE SUBSCRIPTION service. So now we have no choice but to pay for the subscription to be able to continue any work at all. GET GOODNOTES INSTEAD.
I use to like this app a lot and I sponsored all the iPads at home and at work. Sadly, the transcription function is overrated. I live in Singapore (south of Malaysia) and I don’t understand why every transcription is in Malay when I spoke in English. Not Singlish, but proper English. I am disappointed to say the least, given that I am one of the first few to raise this issue up when the transcription function was launched. Despite this, this problem still remains unresolved. I really hope that someone at the notability / Gingerlab Mangement can reach out to me and resolve this quickly. I have downloaded the App also for my son and every staff in my Company and I am beginning to feel the costs are wasted. I await your advice, please.
At the moment, the features are pretty clunky — rearranging the pages is such a chore and it takes several tries to reorder a single page because the page just won’t move regardless of how patient you are, and is even more frustrating when you want to bring a page to much earlier or later in the document. Also I’m not sure if this is the norm for note-taking apps but it also frustrates me when you can’t copy pdf text within notability. Hope these issues can be fixed, thanks devs!
The free version is basically useless. And a subscription based premium version on a note taking app😩😩…seriously!! come on
Have been using it for school daily, love that i can copy paste my work easily. However, would be great if i could write outside of the slides (on the left and right) rather than having to add a new page. Or have the option to have the new page be the same size as my slides. Currently, the new page would be A4 size and i usually just need the same size slide to write on.
This app helps me to organise my presentations to my clients. Especially since my handwriting is horrible...writing on notability helps me to erase and rewrite easily...and more presentable.
I woke up one morning and found my notability missing from my app library so I redownloaded it (My notability is managed by my school and I got my notes back). However, it started constantly pestering me with notability plus advertisements and did not allow me to edit my notes. Frustrated, I deleted my notability again and redownloaded it, but this time, it did not auto backup, so I had lost all my notes (I assume auto backup is a plus feature) and neither could I annotate on my notability. I hope notability can allow users to use the app to do notes for free and enable auto backup for non plus users. I wrote to the IT department of my school still waiting for reply hate this app all my notes I made put in the effort to do for the past year is all gone
