Yet another subscription model. I’m happy to pay for developers, but 2,99€ per month is just too much. Would’ve paid a couple euros as an upfront purchase, or something like five euros per year I would be happy to pay, but this is just ridiculous. Especially because it says nowhere until you’re actually done with all the set up and want to start using it, it will require you to set up some payment plan. The strategy is just not honest. I hate this. I’ll find an alternative, thanks. Can’t really say much about the app, because I stopped using it two minutes after I downloaded it. -- Big007Joe, 2026-06-04 ### ***** "Einfach, aber praktisch" Obsidian-User hier… Wenn man alles konfigurieren möchte, viele Plugins nutzen und Tage damit verbringen möchte, jede Kleinigkeit einzustellen, dann gibt es umfangreichere Apps. Wenn man einfach nur Notizen schreiben möchte und eine App sucht, die genau dafür gemacht ist, dann würde ich empfehlen, BrewMemo mal auszuprobieren. Einfach, praktisch, durchdacht, nützlich. Tags, markdown, selfhosted server für syncen. Aber BrewMemo hat mich überrascht. Ich hab lange was gesucht, wo ich meine Gedanken, ToDos und random Ideen sammeln kann ohne dieses typische „alles landet irgendwo in irgendeiner Cloud“-Gefühl. Dass die App mit meiner eigenen Nextcloud läuft, war am Ende genau der Punkt warum ich geblieben bin. Ich nutze sie mittlerweile jeden Tag für Uni, private Journals und sogar fürs Planen von Content-Ideen. Mega praktisch finde ich dieses Offline-First Ding, weil ich oft im Zug arbeite wo das Internet komplett nervt und trotzdem wird später alles sauber synchronisiert. Hatte damit bisher null Probleme. Was ich auch richtig nice finde: Die App wirkt irgendwie „ruhig“. Schwer zu erklären, aber viele Produktivitätsapps fühlen sich überladen an. Hier ist alles clean, schnell und fokussiert. Gerade der Markdown-Editor macht überraschend Spaß, obwohl ich früher nie Markdown benutzt hab. Mittlerweile schreibe ich damit sogar längere Texte und Meeting-Notizen. Premium hab ich mir tatsächlich geholt wegen den erweiterten Organisationsfunktionen und den Themes. Klingt erstmal unnötig, aber dieses Pin-/Tag-System spart mir so viel Chaos im Alltag. Und der Dark Mode nachts ist wirklich gut gemacht und nicht einfach nur „alles schwarz“. Man merkt schon, dass da Leute dahinter sitzen die selber so Apps nutzen. Was ich am meisten feier: kein Vendor Lock-In. Meine Notizen gehören halt wirklich mir. Keine komischen Export-Probleme oder Angst irgendwann alles zu verlieren. Für Leute die Datenschutz ernst nehmen aber trotzdem eine moderne App wollen echt ziemlich stark. -- showbid, 2026-05-18 ### ***** "Sehr geile App" Tut was sie verspricht.
