## Fender Notion Description
With over 10 years in the App Store, Fender Notion is a free, award-winning music composition tool for iOS, iPadOS®, macOS and more! You’ll effortlessly create dynamic compositions in traditional musical notation or guitar tablature with its intuitive touch-based interface and incredibly broad editing capabilities. 
 
With a user-friendly interface and simple interactive piano keyboard, fretboard, drum pad, and even optional Handwriting Recognition, Fender Notion makes it easy to get started composing your music. You can also hear your music performed with the most realistic playback possible, using real audio samples recorded by the London Symphony Orchestra at Abbey Road Studios.

Fender Notion is a native cross-platform app, meaning you can write anywhere on any device without requiring a constant Internet connection. And when you’re back online, you’ll be able to sync your work across multiple devices — either through your preferred cloud provider, or through the optional wireless transfer between applications on any device. Start your work on one device and finish it on another. Once you are happy with your creation you can share the Notion file, or export as MIDI, MusicXML, PDF or as an audio file.

Compose, edit, and play back your music performed with real piano and orchestral samples recorded by the London Symphony Orchestra at Abbey Road Studios — along with outstanding sampled guitar, bass, drums and other popular instruments. And when you’re ready for more sounds, you’ll find the extensive library of Notion Add-on Soundsets to purchase as part of the Feature Bundle. To save space, the initial app download contains just piano — you can then manage which of the bundled Soundsets to have on your device or keep in the cloud, just tap on Sound Installation. 

Notion has been featured in various Apple campaigns including the 2014 YourVerse television commercials and has won several awards, including a prestigious music industry NAMM TEC Award for Best Smartphone/Tablet App.
 
What you get:
Fender Notion includes unlimited staves, comprehensive editing features and core orchestral and rhythm section Soundsets — all for free. You can optionally register (also for free!) to unlock an additional Soundset (containing Solo Strings, Classical Saxophones and Glockenspiel), and the multivoice function that allows writing in up to 4 voices per staff. Then for the full experience, either sign in with your Fender Studio Pro+ membership or purchase the Notion Feature Bundle. This unlocks Handwriting Recognition, Layout Controls, all the Expansion Soundsets (including many auxiliary instruments and additional articulations and effects), additional audio export formats (m4a, OPUS, FLAC) and direct file transfer between Fender Notion and Fender Studio Pro running on the same network.

Hi notion, thank you so much for making this app, especially since I could compose pieces in this app. 4 years ago, I did not like a single bit about composing, so I left this app for a long time. But now my passion in composing is growing increasingly, so thank you very much in changing my whole entire life in music. 

However, I do have some requests.
1. Please add all the instrument sounds.
Last time in the create templates, I tried the percussion ensemble but there wasn’t any sounds. Why add it when there’s no sound?

2. Please add some special ornaments to specific instruments, such as the strings instruments. I spent a long time looking for the pizz in my cello concerto, but I just couldn’t find it. Also some ornaments do not have its sound, such as tremolo.

So please add my suggestions and thank you so much notion.

Very good but, could add a few things.
1: Add all the instrument sounds. 
This app has many instruments but it would be extremely helpful if all the sounds were added. It would give a better representation of the pieces played.
2: Add ornaments. 
Some ornaments such as tremolo do not work in this app and need to be added

It’s dead to me now. Ever since the revamp of the whole UI nothing works, every time I try to do something the app closes, I try to add empty bars, the app closes, basically it requires RNG to work, on a good day I can chart 1 song without problems, otherwise, it would just keep closing and not saving my work. It was good before the revamp, now it’s just a bug, not even an app.

I hope the hand writing features include more intuitive options like in staffpad. It is still the best notation app on the App Store that does not milk you for a subscription.

Don’t bother looking at Dorico or Sibelius. They only want to milk you with subscriptions. I mean we are musicians, who can afford to pay rent for software! I mean every 2nd app is trying to milk you. Now Apple wants to as well. Come on. Keep it up Apple and I’ll go Microsoft on you.

Hi, I love the app so much, it’s user friendly and it motivates me to compose. Anyway I can’t figure out ways to key in fingering for two notes, let’s say I want to put 3 on top and 2 at bottom for my two RH notes played at the same time. Please advise, many thanks.

It keeps crashing although I am purely using it for notation (no sound files for playback). There also seems to be no way of manually saving in work in progress... makes me feel very insecure about losing my work. I have had to redo many charts because of this.
