How much does NovelBar cost?
NovelBar has several in-app purchases/subscriptions, the average in-app price is $36.26.
Upon looking through the reviews, it’s blatantly obvious that they are somehow getting a better overall rating than when you look at the reviews. 1 five star, a 4 star that’s unhappy with the money but appreciates the writing quality. And a wack load of 1 star reviews, about people who were genuinely enjoying reading to the point of purchasing a subscription (which mind you is almost $30CAD MONTHLY), to which they have not received what was purchased and proceeded to get ghosted by the owners of this app.
Not to mention the free coins you get each day do not help, they might if they gave you enough to earn more credits from how many chapters you PURCHASE and finish, so even when they are nice and give you a couple free chapters (that is more congruent with a single page of a book) it doesn’t get you anywhere. Nor does reading from another book.
This app is an utter waste of time with their 30 second ads you need 10 of before you can even think about getting a chapter or better yet sometimes that’s not even enough so you just waste your time HOPING to read a chapter
This app could be structured much better. They would make more money with a cheaper subscription that doesn’t rip people off so they have reoccurring traffic.
Monthly Subscription is a scam
I paid for the monthly subscription but have gotten none of the promised daily rewards. I have received no response to my complaint.
Subscribe fail
I have enjoyed the stories that I am reading and made the decision to make use of one of their monthly subscription offers. It took me over a day to get the initial coins but now on day 12 of NOT getting the daily amount of coins. The only daily coins I am able to collect are the same as those for non subscribers. I have sent feedback every day, messaged their Facebook page and looked up an email address and sent a message….not a single response to date. Do not fall for this apps subscriptions.
Far too costly
Although I am enjoying the story I am following, I have to stop using this app and remove it because it is much more expensive than other apps. A few dollars were spent, and it was not worthwhile. Not even the daily free coins can cover the cost of reading one chapter. It is disappointing. Delete!
Just sad
How can you make a reading app that costs 100+ coins/bonus’ for one chapter and expect people to afford that?? 2 chapters for 5$ cool. Just pathetic that you think that’s acceptable. Anyone can go get books similar enough to anything on this app on so many other reading platforms and pay 5-30 for the whole book sometimes the whole f”” series. Just wrong
Do not waste your money/time
I have bought coins two times. And you would think that I would be able to read both books completely with both purchases. As with what I did purchase, I could’ve bought six audiobooks with Audible. Disappointed that I’m not gonna be finishing books that I’ve spent so much money on already.
Poor Selection
Typically with these types of apps for these types of romance novels the translating/grammar and story line are “mid” but the book selection on this app is really bad. Really hard to read, so many books with little to no burn and weak, watered down tropes.
They have lots the choose from but you can tell by many of the titles, the translation/writing is going to be awful. Mixing tenses and homonyms in *every* sentence and constant punctuation is impossible to get past as a fluent reader and it’s no it’s not a dialect issue when I refer to grammar/spelling issues.
The app itself is a good layout and easy to use. To bad the stories are not worth the $$$.

Purchased 11.99 worth of coins, thought it would at least get me one books worth. Very disappointed because after one evening of reading the coins were all used up since you pay by the chapter. Deleted the app, not worth the money, or the time to wait for the daily bonus that doesn’t even give you a chapter.
