I’d give zero if a could
Unfortunately had a smash in December, booked in for a review start of Jan and heard nothing since. Spent hours and hours with webcchat, phone and email, the call centre staff are nice but it’s impossible to speak to anyone in claims team. Clearly an issue and I’d avoid this business at all costs. Over 2 months since my accident, excess paid on the day. Parts of car are stuck together with tape and I nobody at NRMA can speak to me……
Can’t find the form
Morning, it’s only been 10 months since you approached ved our claim, now you say I need to fill out a “cash settlement fax form”, where is it please!
Comp insurance capped amount
Tacs was really helpful and he didn’t waste any time in responding. Great service. The only thing I don’t like with NRMA is that I don’t get an option to insure my car for an agreed value any more. The amount is capped and I can’t increase the amount, and yet NRMA writes that it is an AGREED amount, but I didn’t agree to that amount.

Web chat is absolutely useless and times out
Tried to extend my monthly instalment on the app but only gave me 7 days so I called after numerous tries on web chat and sat on hold for ages only to be told he can’t give me more than 7 days extension so was a waste of my time all round
Been with NRMA for 3 yrs but I think it’s time to go elsewhere that has a better online chat and can offer more than 7 days extensions
Payment
Trying to pay a policy but keeps coming up as “you don’t have any payments” yet I keep getting emails telling me that my payment is due & yes current policy is due in January 2024 they keep sending SGIO policy numbers for me to pay but NRMA doesn’t recognise these

I myself have been with Nrma car insurance for as long as I have been driving. I agree with the other review Nrma may be more costly for some. But I too have never had any problems or issues dealing with any staff of Nrma. The road side assist has helped me out big time running out of fuel just out of Melbourne Nrma NSW talked with VIC roads branch and they were great, helping when I was stranded with my daughter due to a flat battery. Always on hand maybe not always on time but that is to be expected with traffic today.

Spent hours trying to simply reset password and never got a single email … joke
