Block annoying scammers who hide behind fake phone numbers.
Do you get unwanted calls or text messages from phone numbers similar to your own? With Number Shield, block an entire group of numbers at once. Just enter a wildcard for each digit you want to block.
For example, if your number is 714-555-1234, scammers might use a number like 714-555-6789. Block all similar numbers by entering 714-555-####. Wildcards and numbers can be combined in any order you choose. Block international numbers, too!
To make sure you don't miss calls from your family and friends, phone numbers in your contacts are always allowed.
Block numbers directly from your phone's missed calls screen. Just follow these steps:
1. Tap the “ i ” button next to the missed call.
2. Tap “Share Contact”.
3. Tap “Block Similar Numbers”. (If you don't see this action, tap “Edit Actions...“ to enable it.)
4. Now you'll see the Number Shield number entry screen. Tap “Done” to block calls from similar numbers.
Please note:
• Each number pattern can contain up to 7 wildcards, and up to 50,000,000 phone numbers can be blocked.
• Blocked calls are sent directly to voice mail.
• Blocked text messages are sent to the “Junk” filter in the Messages app.
• iMessage messages are not blocked.
• When “Do Not Disturb” is enabled on your phone, calls that should be blocked may appear in your phone's list of missed calls.

Doesn’t block 760-XXX-XXXX on my iPhone 8.
Frustrated with Spammers
This app is a game changer, I purchased one other app but it had only 4 last wild card so still 999 possibilities. After installing this and with 7 wild card I no longer received any calls. I am so grateful because I was receiving 20+ calls in 8 hours
It works but 2 important points
If it freezes up, restart your phone and it will complete the block. Second point is put the area code and prefix and then pound pound pound pound sign. With this you will have success.
Underwhelmed
Sadly, the app is not efficiently blocking numbers. I’ve entered numbers that continue to show up. There may be a small decrease in spam calls from the app, but it is not working as it should. I messaged the creator for support, but have not heard back.
Slow to load, doesn’t block numbers
The app takes several minutes to load every single time I open it to add a new number and then another several minutes to load after I enter the number I want to block. It also doesn’t seem to block any of the numbers I’ve added so it’s really kind of a pointless waste.
Filters are political
I want it as all filtered but allowx tons of democrat iMessages through but see Republican content in iMessage junk folders. IOS 18.1 It’s not working at all anymore. All kinds of spam getting through.
Works Great!
Had an annoying lending spammer calling many times a day from many different area codes. After buying and setting up number shield, haven’t received any more calls like this! Works great! Completely worth it. Buy it, you won’t regret it.
Gradually stops being effective
Worked well at first, but now it lets text messages through. Takes a long time to rebuild the block databases when you open the app. Don’t recommend purchasing this app. I submitted support ticket but never hear back.
Savior
The best number blocking app ever used and since the numbers have a specific prefix as well as area code I don’t have to worry about blocking good numbers.
