And probably more importantly the database just doesn’t have a lot of the stuff I eat. (I couldn’t read the information at the top on most pages and putting my date of birth was a guessing game). I couldn’t add additional tracking for sugar, fibre or salt (despite repeatedly hitting the + button on this feature) indeed, offering to track salt intake in 5/10/15/20g increments seemed rather unsafe! In addition, I was led to believe this app could track low FODMAP foods (this app was a top search hit in google for that statement) - but this wasn’t an option once you get into settings. (I know this is a Google issue not the app!) It often doesn’t recognise very basic, well-known brands, so you have to add items manually. The photo/AI feature that extracts information from images is actually great and works well. However, the problem is that the free version only allows 5 entries per day. If the database doesn’t recognise several of your items, you quickly use up those entries just trying to log basic foods. Because of that, the app becomes difficult to use unless you upgrade.
