Confusing App

Does the strangest things When I click on journal to see what I ate for the that day It has (g) as in Grams for that day So underneath the date logged food - It asked me to select grams for the day as to weigh it ? Also sent an email few Nights back No Response

Missing foods unacceptable

I was looking for bacon. Doesn't exist on this app. Gammon? Also not here. Come on. These are basics. Was this designed by vegetarians with religious issues? In many ways great, but what's missing is pretty serious. Pork fillet os a bery lean and inexpensive meat option (in south africa). I would expect to see a little more than 'ground pork'., especially after a precious reviewer noted it.

Very useful

Good, but needs work (v2.5.2)

Slimmie K on

Nutritional info is very useful, but there are some shortcomings. E.g. under meat, it only caters for ground beef & ground pork, but not beef & pork in other forms. Chicken & turkey is covered in (too much) detail though. A potential mistake I noted is that it says that chicken breast, meat only, has 50% more calories & fat than chicken breast with the skin on - clearly impossible! All in all, seems quite useful, but if the information is not reliable, maybe not all that useful after all?

Excellent

Pretty cool for nutritional info on the run, takes the guess work out.

Nice app

Really nice app, you can see what good an bad stuff is in various foods.

Used to be better. Now dumbed down and basic.

Elbeliathon on

I have had this app for years. I used to really like it. A couple of years ago however, they really dumbed it down. It used to have detailed nutrient information, for example, both soluble and insoluble fiber. Now, it just has very basic info for each food that you can get from any food label. You used to be able to see a very comprehensive list of foods that were high or low in a specific nutrient. (For example, “Im trying to eat more magnesium,” or “I have a relative who can’t eat vitamin K”.) Now this will show you the top 100 foods for a given nutrient, but unfortunately, these ingredients or foods are not de-duped so you tended to get a list that has a lot of repeats, or very odd and obscure foods and you can’t scroll past the end of the 100 items. It’s basically just like every other super simple calorie counting app out there, and I don’t think this is very differentiated or special any more.
