## Nutrola Reviews in United States

### *---- "It’s not free; you have to subscribe."
I thought it was free. I know people who have it without paying, but I was charged, and they refuse to refund my money. I cancelled immediately. I reached out to everyone I could, but they denied my request. So now, I have a subscription I’m not interested in. Nutrola doesn’t respond to emails, and that’s the only way to contact them.
-- Perla-10, 2026-10-20

### *---- "Lots of Potential but..."
Update: Terrible!!! They make you think you can use it for free and then lock you out if you don't pay. It's extortion. Look elsewhere. Thanks for sidetracking my weight loss journey.

Despite a few frustrating login bugs, this is a fantastic app for tracking food and drinks. The barcode scanner and AI features work remarkably well. However, the free tier experience is deliberately ruined by aggressive, manipulative upsell tactics. If you try to sign in via Apple or Google, you hit an immediate paywall. If you manage to bypass it by signing up with your email, you are hit with a different punishment: there is no password option, so you get logged out every single time you leave the app and are forced to fetch a new email security code. Making the free version this painfully tedious feels less like a technical limitation and more like an intentional trap designed to exhaust users into paying. Fix the login system, and stop holding the free tier hostage, then you'll be near a 5.
-- FalloutRanger, 2026-09-22

### *---- "Too expensive"
At $40 a year, this app is simply not worth trying.
-- Guy Bros, 2026-08-10

### *---- "paid for nothing"
do not recommend. it cant enter even the details listed when scanning a barcode. took the same photo multiple times for accuracy/same angle/lighting..it varied by over 100 calories, not consistent at all. need more options for serving sizes that can be selected.
-- lakeside,, 2026-07-05

### ***-- "Perfect except.."
This app is the cleanest and most straightforward calorie counter app there is. I've tested most, if not all. But the reason it gets 3/5 stars is because it is ridiculous that we can't edit times for logging food. I rarely log when I'm eating. I'm not going to hold my food with one hand and be logging with the other. I often remember 20, 30, 60+ minutes later. If there is a way to edit, it's nowhere to be found. I have to turn these logs into my nutritionist and now instead of clean screenshots, I have to provide a summary for each day. Should I be writing this review angry? No. But it's a frustrating missing feature and I hope they add it. I'd be thrilled to update my review.
-- Highley92, 2026-06-30

### **--- "Half-Baked"
This app is only half baked and is certainly lacking basic sophistication. For example, it allows you to create and save your own ‘foods’, but does not allow any way to sort or group that list.
Also, other basic functionality is faulty. For example, if you use the keyboard microphone for dictating text, it will create two identical strings (yes, duplicates). There is no way to see your saved, caloric goals, or edit them.
Suggested developers, put their ADD crayons down and go back and finish the app to make it functional.
-- JRS-1959, 2026-05-28

### *---- "Waste of money"
You have to literally manually put things in. You can’t search anything because nothing comes up. I forgot to cancel before the free trial was over. If i could get a refund that would be great.
-- TE9260504, 2026-05-12

### ****- "It’s pretty good but I wish it showed more macros"
I like the app because I’m very lazy in tracking my macros by having to search the item and stuff but I wish they showed more macros like fiber and sugar. Can y’all please add where we can see how much sugar and fiber we have eaten please
-- Pollito pio pp, 2026-05-09

### *---- "No AI Diet Assistant, Support Unresponsive"
I paid for a one-year premium subscription, however, in contrast to the App Store info Nutrola listed, there is no AI Diet Assistant chatbot feature. In the screenshot there’s a chat box, but in the app I only have a Recipes option. I emailed the support email, and then followed up again after receiving no response. It’s now been over a week with no response. I also noticed that under the Progress tab, my data is not saving. The previous week’s data does not save for comparison of progress. It makes me wonder if the company behind this app may be going out of business? It’s too bad, because I liked the user interface. Due to their non-response and the lack of premium feature despite paying, I may need to also report this company to the Better Business Bureau.
-- MacUser19479032, 2026-05-04

### *---- "Eh"
The app was ok, was off a few times or over by 100 cals. I had the yearly subscription and canceled it. Tried to get a refund and emailed the company a few times. Never got a response.
-- Buddy-Bench, 2026-04-30

### *---- "Inaccurate Trackkng"
Tracking macros is absolutely frustrating. You scan the barcode and put the correct serving size and then it messes up the macros. I think my domesticated cat can do a better job tracking macros. It’s basic math.
-- Sir_smilez, 2026-04-30

### *---- "Another subscription app"
No need for a subscription for an app that fundamentally just needs to do math and make list. Just put a ad every now and then. 20 a months is bonkers.
-- bighomieflop, 2026-04-23

### *---- "Terrible"
It crashes constantly and has to be restarted. Doesn’t accurately reflect macros when scanning a product’s barcode. Layout is cumbersome. The numbers “remaining” are confusing and don’t match what the widget says. Will be looking for a better app.
-- Snowleopard2, 2026-04-23

### *---- "Disappointed"
The library of foods is almost non existent. Frustrating.
-- lotus 1974, 2026-04-21

### ***** "Nutrola J J review"
This app is so user friendly! I am so excited to use this track my nutrition.
-- Jen R J, 2026-04-12

### *---- "Deceptive"
The app is marketed as free and makes you go through this whole process before telling you it will be $20 a month. There was no way to get around this paywall to use a free version of the app.
-- Joe 🎰, 2026-03-31

### ***** "Amazing!"
This app makes tracking what I eat so much easier. I love how simple it is to add foods and see all the nutrition details right away. It helps me stay mindful without stressing out about every little thing. Definitely one of the best trackers I’ve tried.
