The NVIDIA SHIELD TV app lets you log in to your favorite GeForce NOW games on SHIELD even faster.

The app gives you instant access to a virtual mouse and keyboard, which makes it simple for you to enter your username and password into game services like Steam®, Blizzard® Battle.net®, and Uplay™.

Features:
    -Virtual mouse touchpad
    -Virtual keyboard (US English only)
    -D-pad (up/down/right/left) and Select
    -SHIELD TV navigation buttons (Back, Start/Play/Pause, Home)

To get started, connect your iPhone or iPad to the same network as your SHIELD. 

Make sure your SHIELD is upgraded to the latest version 7.1 or later system software (Settings > About > System upgrade).

My app remote no longer works what’s going on? It shows the IP address for the shield device 10.0.0.117 but it won’t connect. Pair using IP using the Shield device IP doesn’t connect, tried removing and reinstalling app also. Need this to work cause I sleep with my remote and lose it or it loses connection with the device when I sleep on it

After a couple of years constantly fighting with the device and app I am giving up and going back to Roku.  

The device sleeps and loses connectivity and it can take an hour of fiddling with things to get it back up and online. The app is useless. The remote control is dunious.

Very disappointing effort from Nvidia. I expected more and its now apparent that they have dropped this product from development or even basic support.  

Sold their stock a while back and I think that was the best decision possible.  

Avoid the device and this app. Save yourself hours of frustration.

Solution is to be able to connect with Bluetooth.

I use this app from time to time and it just is very frustrating. It disconnects often sometimes five seconds sometimes one minute. There's no way to open the app and go directly to the remote. I feel like I'm moving backwards in technology using this shield. Nvidia could do better this app is an afterthought.
