I dont have the money to pay for premium but the free version is still good enough. I even recommended it to my friends who love puzzles :)

Please add a dark mode for the entire app and not just per game (and not even all games have dark mode).

NYT app vs game app

bdjioollp, on

Philippines

The crossword is a daily thing for me but I enjoy the layout of the one in the NYT app more. I don’t like it that it now brings me to the game app

I normally don't review, but anyway...

It's hard to express with words the joy that this app gives me. Playing each free puzzle gives me so much joy (and teaches me to be grateful for what I have, rather than wishing I had the money to pay for a subscription... haha!) I know that's all rather simple! But nothing will be quite as good as playing the spelling bee in CompSci class because I finished the modules early. Like a good, "I did it!" prize to myself. That's all.

Leaderboard not working

The only reason I use this app is to compare my crossword speed with friends. Would also be good to make leaderboards for the other daily games

Buggy app

Bach256 on

Philippines

Every now and then, the app will not load the puzzle. I’ll need to delete and re-download a few times before it will load the crossword. But then a month later, it will happen again.

Puzzles not loading

poye888 on

I am subscribed but the puzzles aren’t loading in the app. I have tried deleting and reloading the app but the app still doesn’t work. I have been in contact with nyt customer care people for weeks now but they still can’t solve the problem. I have just resubscribed, hoping they can still do something about it — and because i have to have my fix, dang it.

New puzzles aren’t loading. Tried deleting the app and re-installing. Still the same. Ok

No Apple Pencil Support

theGLDT on

Philippines

This is a crossword app, why isn’t there iOS 14 scribble support for Apple Pencil?

Why?

Bzsuzi on

Philippines

It is still the best crossword puzzle but did they have to fix it so drastically when it wasn't even broke?!
