Download this free official New Zealand government app and use it to request your NZeTA and pay the IVL. The app is the fastest way to request an NZeTA and should take you less than 5 minutes.
You can use the app to scan your passport to upload your details and scan your credit or debit card for ease of payment.
You can request and pay for up to 10 NZeTAs in one transaction for your family or group.
What are the NZeTA & IVL?
The NZeTA is a border security measure introduced by the New Zealand Government on 1 October 2019.

Most visitors coming to New Zealand must pay an International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy (IVL) of NZD $35. Simply doesn’t work
Download was easy, scanned passport but the app crashed every time the photo was attempted. Fortunately the online form option was available and worked well.

Can’t even scan the passport at all
Keep mentioning avoid reflection. I’m sure there’s a better way to solve this. Why only allow passport scanning option ? Why can’t be an option to fill up accordingly? This is a waste of time and money to develop an app which is not even useful!

I’ve been trying to access this app for the last couple of days and this message keeps showing up. I have my parents overseas with no IT skills and now reading other reviews, seems it's impossible to go through the process for another person. Seriously? The developers didn't think about all people needing assistance?

Cannot scan passport!!!
Quite frustrating. Multiple attempts to scan to avoid reflection but still it does not work. Same issue as per many other users. What to do if I cannot manage to apply before my travel dates?
