2 days to change a basic setting?!
I got the app and dongle based off of recommendations from a friend, and tried using it for the first time. All seems normal, asks me to sign in immediately, gets me to connect to the car. It then asks me what Volkswagen car I have. It gives me four options, and I accidentally tap the wrong one. This wouldn’t be an issue if the app worked on keyup, not keydown. But since it doesn’t, even though I didn’t let go on the wrong car, the wrong car was selected for my connection. I let the scan finish and disconnect, then go to reconnect. It defaults to the same car. Okay, let’s check Google. All people are saying is that you need to contact support. Surely not, surely it’s a basic setting. I mean, they charge people $100/year and $200 for the dongle, it can’t have a glaring issue this bad. Wrong! I tried contacting support, and it started me with an AI chatbot. It gave me very generic advice ‘why don’t you disconnect and it’ll show’ or ‘close and open the app and unplug and plug in the dongle’. Guess what, even deleting the car from my garage and uninstalling the app doesn’t work. Support robot has to be told that “No, none of your solutions work” before it sends the request through to support. Then, what does it tell me? ‘The support response time is on average 2 days’ 2 days?! For one misclick? Garbage
