HOW TRACKING WORKS

OCEARCH conducts scientific research and collaborates with institutions across the world! SPOT tags are used to provide near real-time tracking data for an average of 5 years. Each time the animal’s tag breaks the surface of the water, it signals a satellite to create a ‘ping’ on the tracker for YOU to see. Data is used by the scientific community to help with:

• Research
• Conservation
• Policy
• Management
• Safety
• Education

We created this app to engage YOU in shark and marine conservation efforts by providing real-time tracking data on ocean animals. Our goal is to empower YOU to connect with the ocean, learn about marine life, and support vital marine science through interactive, accessible technology. Thank you for your interest and support. We couldn't conduct this critical ocean research without you.

If you love our app, please consider supporting us by leaving a rating and review, or by sharing it with your friends.

We’re always looking to improve! If you have any questions, comments, or feedback, please feel free to email us at tracker@ocearch.org.

## OCEARCH Shark Tracker™ Reviews in United States

### **--- "Update is terrible"
I loved this app and looked at it every day. This last update made it almost unusable. Way too many ads (for plus version and others). They take up over half my screen and won’t go away. I can’t see all my favorites—- only 5 or 6. The new layout is nonfunctional to me. I will try a little longer but if it doesn’t get easier I will sadly give it up.
-- KyJ9, 2025-01-12

### ***-- "Why the new sign-in requirement?"
I enjoyed using this app for the past 6-8 mths. The latest update prevents me from using the app without sharing personal info. Too bad.
-- lightweight time waster, 2024-12-22

### **--- "Paid membership isn’t worth"
Cool app but very few sharks to track. Paying for a membership doesn’t get you anything materially better
-- JoMaaaa69, 2024-12-17

### *---- "Ruined this for the kids"
Just had to make it cost money to use I guess… Ridiculous so u want me to buy another subscription so my kids can see where the sharks are when we are going to the beach once a year? Come on give it back maybe 1% will subscribe not to mention that u will lose the random donations people like me made because now I’ll NEVER have a chance to interact with you again!
-- HottyToddy601, 2024-12-16

### ***-- "What happened?"
The last time I opened this app it was easy to navigate and understand. There were no paywalls. And the latest update is awful. I find the new app super hard to navigate and confusing. Bring back the easy way lol. This is overkill.
-- GregoryLauren1, 2024-12-15

### *---- "New update all about monetizing"
I've had this app since it came out. It was incredible to watch the track of sharks especially while I was in Nova Scotia where they summer. The app itself was simple, clean visual design and easy to navigate. The new
update is visually and organizationally cluttered and sadly all about monetizing and subscriptions as opposed to education and research. If they need more money they could put a donate button on the site or find other ways. Really disappointed. I will be deleting the app.
-- Ojoyous1, 2024-12-11

### ***** "Awesome"
I absolutely love being able to see where they are!
-- (Deplorable) Becky Green, 2024-12-05

### ***** "So fun & educational!"
Love checking in on my favorite sharks and turtles. My kids love to play around and see where they are going. Love that the comments are back as well! So great to support such a wonderful non-profit organization.
-- NikkiArt333, 2024-12-05

### ***** "My Tracks"
This is the best way to understand the importance of our Oceans and the Animals that belong to it. To better ourselves on what needs to be done in order to keep our Oceans safe from pollution and disease.
Thank you all for doing this , I enjoy everything about this Tracking System of the Oceans Animals
-- Handler57, 2024-11-14

### ***** "Ocean Search is Great 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯"
Ocean Search is the best!!!The things that I like about Ocean Search is that Ocean Search is educational and fun for curious kids like myself. From,Zo👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌
