Been saving up for that Hang, but don't have quite enough yet? You can get busy on our version of the infamous steel instrument. Start it up, bang away, even record your own loop to play along with. So authentic, your friends will think yours has already arrived. Fill them in on the secret, and they too can download and record their own creations. Do I hear a "Hang out"???

Little bit of information about the Hang ... The Hang is a steel percussion instrument that is typically played using the hands and fingers while it rests in the musician's lap. It was developed in Switzerland in 2000 by Felix Rohner and Sabina Schärer. There are currently 5 generation models.

Ours is a first generation Hang that defaults to the Aeolian tuning with a D3 central note and a A3 C4 D4 E4 F4 G4 A4 tone loop. The eight notes are arranged in a 'Tone Circle' that zig-zag from low to high and are harmonically tuned around the low 'Ding' note in the center. Select from 45 tunings including microtonal tunings. These various tunings can be mixed into loops that are being constructed.

The loop recording in all of the OddTunes apps is roughly modelled after the Gibson / Oberheim Echoplex Digital Pro. As expensive as these things bar this is great

This is amazing for the price it’s in such condition that you want to give or pay for this or donate this is really good these pans Ramz are expensive and they’re not easy to come by so this one with all his notes is amazing.

Superb!

Beautiful and nerve calming sounds of this strange instrument which, when I saw it first time, I called a charcoal grill with a lid on - is out of this world! Just play, listen and let the soul contact other not so visible realities. Many thanks to the creators!

This thing is super fun to play. Love all the different tunings. Far out man!

So much fun to play!

This is a lot of fun. I'm using an iPad Pro and it works great with the latest ios version etc. Magical sound and the unique arrangement of the "keys" forces the creativity out of you, sort of like finding a new tuning on guitar. Enjoy!

Amazing!

Love this little app, especially with all the tunings. If you could just add the sunpan (happy spring garden) tuning in Ab I'd be totally obsessed, or maybe even an option to create our own tuning. Or another future update to be able to manipulate sound like the bell tone in the middle or bending tones. Really nice though!

Audiobus broken. No MIDI yet - otherwise a great app!

I really wish there was MIDI built in. Latest test in Audiobus didn't work. No state-saving (in AB). Latest iOS 9.3

A wonderful instrument excellently rendered. Not just a toy!

Really impressed with the craftsmanship and quality of this app. One reviewer dropped a star because you can't custom tune (which would be a bonus) but they include a large library of preset tunings, unlike other hang drum apps. This is truly one of the best musical apps in the App Store. Get the paid version, it's worth every penny!

Just needs a little more to be perfect

Great app. The sound is very authentic as far as apps go however it would be lovely if you can change up the tuning to how you want rather than just having the presets

Love it!!! I have a lotus steeldrum that I love, but it doesn't compare to the sound of a hang. So glad I found this.
