## oDoc • Video Consultations Description
oDoc connects you with doctors for video and audio consultations over your phone. Consult a doctor, get your medicines delivered and get your lab tests done while you stay comfortable at home!

We are extremely honoured to partner with the Ministry of Health Sri Lanka, GMOA and ICTA to include qualified government doctors on our platform. You can now consult government doctors for free via oDoc from wherever you are.

As of January 2020, oDoc, Sri Lanka’s largest telemedicine platform, has over 1000 partner GPs and specialists, including many senior consultants across 60+ specialisations. All doctors on oDoc are Sri Lanka Medical Council registered with 5+ years of experience. They are well equipped to manage oDoc consultations and issue prescriptions. This means you have access to high-quality care without the hassle of traffic, waiting rooms and queues.

Doesn't it sound perfect? However, you may wonder how a doctor can correctly diagnose you without seeing you in person? Well, it's very much like any other doctor consultation you’ve had! Understanding your medical history and your symptoms is as important as a physical examination. According to the American Medical Association, 75% of doctor consultations can be diagnosed online, and our doctors are skilled in providing a diagnosis and medical advice online.

As a policy, we refund you in the event your doctor determines a physical examination is required. In these cases, the doctor will be paid by us. This means you pay only when you receive care, and doctors are always compensated for their professional services.

On oDoc, you own all your data, and your data is stored securely on HIPAA-compliant servers.

I booked an appointment for 5:47 PM, but the doctor was unavailable and didn’t respond for the rest of the day. When offering a paid service, there should be a certain standard, but this app clearly doesn’t meet it. Very disappointed with the lack of professionalism and poor service. Worst experience I’ve had with a healthcare app.

In the iPhone app there is an issue when the chat is opened. It displays an error message on the top “you are trying to reconnect”. My data is working properly.

1. Unreliable, Doctor didn’t showup for the appointment 
2.No auto follow up from support regarding problematic appointments waiting for customer to complain 
3. Though i requested for refund no refund has been made to my credit card. 
4. Major issue in ODoc trust and reliability as oDoc charges the patient regardless of whether there’s a confirmed doctor for the appointment (major red flag)

oDoc is a very user-friendly app. It helped me consult a doctor in just a few minutes, saving me time, and the trip to see the doctor in person. I also got my medicine delivered quicky via oPharma which is another very useful service they provide. Kudos to the oDoc team for making our lives much easier.

I have been using for some time now, recently this app not working properly like there is no audio and video working specifically after following instructions which they mentioned and did 10 times. Uninstall, install, allow access to camera and audio End of all the trouble they charge for the consultation which has not happened PS: if you’re facing the similar problem, please do not try to fix it through customer care because they don’t have access and the technical team is not following up the issue.

Based on personal experience - DO NOT recommend this app.

 Ik quite a few people use it but my experience has been as follows:

Tried yesterday. Audio wasn’t working. Tried everything that helpline recommended ( restart phone, reinstall app, disable and enable microphone permissions on phone for the app). Nothing worked. I was desperate to consult the doctor yesterday n it failed. 

Had a demo call with the helpline person tried several times ( audio only, n it worked. Then tried video also n it worked ) n then scheduled a consult for today. 

Again when the doctor called it didn’t work. Retried all the recommendations of the helpline. Nothing worked.

Cancelled and moved onto doc990. It has worked for me before. So gonna stick to that. Not gonna try using this app again, cuz it failed me when I really needed to consult a doctor.

I used the app today in pure desperation and it came to my rescue. Loved the concept behind the app. The video call worked very well and loved how I was able to communicate back and forth with the Doc for my situation periodically. 

How ever I did find a few glitches when it came to the inApp msgs and also the chat. 

Also tried to upload in general my medical reports etc. however I couldn’t do so. 

But over all this app was a life saver when I got Covid. A good part of my satisfaction also has to be the doctor I chose as well.

The app is overall good as an alternative to typical appointments at hospitals. However, for the 1st appointment, the video option didn’t work despite the permission settings on the phone were set right. (Even when booking the appointment, only the video option was there but during the call, it showed that the other person has disabled video for both doctor and I)The feedback given by customer care agents was useless, I had to carry on with an audio consultation. Then the call gets disconnected abruptly after some time as well. These issues makes it really inconvenient and it’s not worth the price we pay. I’ve already complained about this issue to the oDoc team, please fix these issues. I’m hesitant to book another appointment because of the aforementioned issues. It’s really disappointing
