I can't play my songs on background . It only works when am in the app. Pls do something

I don’t know what’s wrong with app now . It has been working well for a long time now since I downloaded it but I started noticing some changes of recent . I can’t play my music outside the app . The moment I minimize the app the music stops playing😩 and it wasn’t like this before now. Please you guys should do something about it fast if it’s from your end . Thank you
