A Very Viable Competitor to Matter and Readwise Reader
I stumbled upon on Omnivore a year back and it has really surprised me by consistently staying updated with new features.
Today, in May 2024 it is 90% feature parity with Matter and Readwise Reader. Great Reading Interface, Direct Newsletter Import and some fine Export Options for Highlights as well.
Good things comes to you in a mysterious way
Hi! This is first time I am writing a review because this is one of best app, I have in my iPad. Its great app to organise my online reading articles. Before I found this, I used to struggle in making notes of articles, or wants to highlight something but couldn't able to do that. But once I started using this, it resolved all my issues. Now website article feeling like reading a pdf. All credit goes to omnivore team. Btw sometimes I a feeling fear generate inside me that "agar mera account delete ho gya ya mere articles & notes chale mai barbad ho jaunga😅...Okay now its time highlight the reason why I gave only 4 star because app lacks consistency in adding labels to articles in Safari web browser but it works fine when we add label to article in app. So please try to fix that. Okay then bye.
All of you out there who love reading, get this app. Hit that download button.
Super easy to use and navigate. Clutter free reading experience. I read all articles on Omnivore. Export and read, now or later. @Omnivore team, waiting for AI integration to enhance the reading and learning experience. Cheers!
Ultra useful
Best read it later app hands down
Mindblowing
The tts is just mind blowing. Amazing stuff. Keep up the spirit team.
Good app but
No way to export highlights to my notes app even manually. Heck I can’t even share selected text to another app.
If highlights can’t be exported, or text can’t be shared, the highlights feature is no longer useful.
Game changer
I was using the paid version Instapaper for eons and Omnivore feels like a giant upgrade. The TTS is so extraordinarily good that I do most of article consumption while hiking now and never feel like I’m falling behind on my queue. Adding articles from across all my devices, apps, and browsing has been a breeze.
The best and still free
Omnivore is not only better than it’s competitors, it does everything better without charging you $15 monthly.
The Universal Save Button
I wanted a solution where I could save web pages from any browser on any device I own. My desktop, my iPhone, my iPad, my work laptop…and this gives me that. There’s a lot I’m not taking advantage of yet, but I like that there is more for me to grow into while still solving my core problem.
