OnStar Guardian: Safety App

This tracking app assists in watching over my family but the ability of apps such as this is many a time restricted because you'd always need to access the phone you want to watch in order for this tracking to work effectively. My question is if I can access the phone that i want to hack, why would I need it hacked? However, i understand we hack phones for different reasons and to recover certain information that must have been deleted or kept from being easily seen, the device will be required to be cloned. Being unfaithful gives rise to a whole lot of issues and situations that might be very difficult to cope with if you don't have an account of what is really going down with your partner when you are not together. This is a wonderful service for me to help my family when in need. This service has proven invaluable. When my daughter was threatened by a tornado, she was able to get assistance to get her to safety after the debris from the tornado shredded one of her tires.

When my husband tried to get on, he had to try three times to get his password even to go in and then he froze. At sign in. We have tried a hard power off and also reinstalled. I have been on the phone with OnStar twice and they said they were great to me and resolve the issue, but that never happened. We still cannot get on.very frustrating

App will continuously ask you for your log in information and kick your family members out. It gets pretty old.

I really like having this service as I have a non GM vehicle and I don’t have onstar built in. Plus, it travels with me in any vehicle. It would be awesome if you could make it work with Apple CarPlay so I could quickly access the app from my vehicle screen to call. Especially in a situation where you want to be a Good Samaritan and call for help for someone else who’s had an accident.

Oftentimes one of our family members on this app plan, location is unable to be tracked. Everyone but one. It just says ‘retry’ and when ‘retry’ is clicked, nothing changes and no location is shown.

Location never updates for family no matter how great the WiFi and internet are.

Really give me peace of mind knowing where my children are and that they can get assistance pretty quickly!👍🏾

It works and lets me know when my child has gone/arrived but I’m used to Life360 and love that their app can tell me all the driving info like speed of the car, phone usage, hard stops. Came in handy when I could see how the car she was in was driving unsafe and tell her to stop. Also helped when she got a ticket and we can see the street info and her history. Or when she’s driving through states to come home from college we can see location better. Gotta have these features with a teen or college driver away from home imo

Optout of any gm onstar tracking info asap!! Also go to Lexisnexis and also opt out with them! They are selling our driving information!!
