Use the app to look ahead and schedule the washing, the dishwasher and the EV charger on energy you already made, instead of buying it back at night. WHAT ONSUN DOES • 7-day solar forecast: hourly solar generation and daily solar production in kWh, customised for your system • Predicts solar output and solar irradiance for your panels and your location • A confidence range on every solar prediction, so you see best and worst case • Tells you when to run appliances, then sends a solar reminder • Solar savings per appliance - what you save, in dollars and in kWh • Solar usage and solar self consumption shown over time • Sunny days flagged a week out, with the peak hours worth planning around • Rainfall overlaid on the sunshine, so you can pick the best time to dry the washing if you don't use a dryer SOLAR APPLIANCES YOU CAN SCHEDULE • Washing machine and clothes dryer • Dishwasher • Solar EV charging - an EV charging schedule built around the sunniest days • Solar pool pump timing • Air conditioner and space heater • Oven and dehumidifier WORKS WITH ANY INVERTER It makes no difference whose inverter you have. OnSun never connects to your inverter. No hardware, no wiring, no login. Your location, panel size and the local weather are all it needs. Compare the forecast against what you actually get and adjust the performance setting to sharpen it. An inverter app only shows what already happened, when the chance to do anything is gone. OnSun looks ahead instead - part calculator, part planner, part weather app. WHY TIMING BEATS EXPORTING Every kWh you use while the sun is up is a kWh you don't buy from the grid at the electricity prices your electricity retailer charges. Solar export earns a feed-in tariff worth a fraction of that, and even off-peak rates cost more than sunshine. Shift the load into daylight and you reduce your electricity bill. SOLAR SCHEDULING, SET ONCE Every appliance draws a different number of watts. A dishwasher runs in short bursts, an EV charger pulls for hours. OnSun matches each power profile against your PV forecast, works out when to run appliances, then sends the notification or alert when it is time. HOW THE PV FORECAST WORKS Professional weather data, modelled against the sunlight your panels actually capture. The same modelling used for large commercial rooftop PV systems, now in your pocket. There is no cheap electricity like the power you already own. FREE vs PRO Free: 3-day forecast, 2 appliances. Pro: full 7-day forecast, unlimited appliances, more frequent forecast updates, and long-term home energy insights so you can watch the power bill and the energy bill come down. You paid for the panels. Download OnSun free and put your home solar to work. Terms of Use: Review: "I'm terrible at remembering to make the most of my solar and end up giving it all away to the grid, but this sends me reminders and plans the next few days for me. The notifications are great, I actually get up and put the washer on! Even started meal prepping with the oven at peak solar time. Can see this saving me from wasting power real quick." - Andytar ## OnSun Screenshots - [Screenshot 1](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/13/8a/95/138a9509-3745-ec2b-b345-35a935edbbd7/01_Solar_forecast.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 2](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/59/2e/01/592e0126-69e4-d184-fa6f-c95c9421188f/12_Cloudy_days.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 3](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/7f/15/3d/7f153d8d-fa12-b422-ba14-3fadd9251d78/02_Schedule.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 4](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/74/9c/7f/749c7f64-143b-a7ce-a937-16f2fb92a6b7/06_Weekly_insights.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 5](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/5a/d5/ac/5ad5ac21-cd3a-e4de-963f-7e1b4dac4f5a/04_Appliances.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 6](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/53/82/1e/53821eae-af74-e387-5c82-e11534ad719b/05_Customise.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 7](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/a4/e3/ac/a4e3ac9a-c8fb-b855-e598-ea23afc4819d/09_Dark_mode.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 8](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/6e/92/c0/6e92c0d7-7d61-1160-6cbf-b04760cda6d7/07_Long-term.png/1242x2688.png) ## OnSun Rating Breakdown in Australia - 5 stars: 5 (100%) - 4 stars: 0 (0%) - 3 stars: 0 (0%) - 2 stars: 0 (0%) - 1 stars: 0 (0%) ## OnSun Reviews in Australia ### ***** "Perfect for me" This is actually a really good app that tells me the schedule I should use for my appliances based on the weather. I’m terrible at remembering to schedule things and making the most of my solar. I end up giving it all away to the grid but this sends me reminders and plans the next few days for me - the notifications are amazing as I actually go and turn the washer or dryer on! Today I started meal prepping with the oven during the peak solar time - can see this will save me wasting power and solar real quick. -- Andytar, 2026-03-15 [View all OnSun reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## OnSun In-App Purchases | Item | Price | |------|-------| | Pro | $4.99 | ## OnSun Available In - [Australia](https://apptail.io/app/onsun-rooftop-solar-forecast-HUVy/australia) - [Barbados](https://apptail.io/app/onsun-rooftop-solar-forecast-HUVy/barbados) - [Brazil](https://apptail.io/app/onsun-rooftop-solar-forecast-HUVy/brazil) - [Switzerland](https://apptail.io/app/onsun-rooftop-solar-forecast-HUVy/switzerland) - [Chile](https://apptail.io/app/onsun-rooftop-solar-forecast-HUVy/chile) - [Czechia](https://apptail.io/app/onsun-rooftop-solar-forecast-HUVy/czechia) - [Germany](https://apptail.io/app/onsun-rooftop-solar-forecast-HUVy/germany) - [Denmark](https://apptail.io/app/onsun-rooftop-solar-forecast-HUVy/denmark) - [United Kingdom](https://apptail.io/app/onsun-rooftop-solar-forecast-HUVy/united-kingdom) - [Hungary](https://apptail.io/app/onsun-rooftop-solar-forecast-HUVy/hungary) - [Indonesia](https://apptail.io/app/onsun-rooftop-solar-forecast-HUVy/indonesia) - [Ireland](https://apptail.io/app/onsun-rooftop-solar-forecast-HUVy/ireland) - [Iceland](https://apptail.io/app/onsun-rooftop-solar-forecast-HUVy/iceland) - [Japan](https://apptail.io/app/onsun-rooftop-solar-forecast-HUVy/japan) - [Sri Lanka](https://apptail.io/app/onsun-rooftop-solar-forecast-HUVy/sri-lanka) - [Madagascar](https://apptail.io/app/onsun-rooftop-solar-forecast-HUVy/madagascar) - [Mexico](https://apptail.io/app/onsun-rooftop-solar-forecast-HUVy/mexico) - [Norway](https://apptail.io/app/onsun-rooftop-solar-forecast-HUVy/norway) - [New Zealand](https://apptail.io/app/onsun-rooftop-solar-forecast-HUVy/new-zealand) - [Philippines](https://apptail.io/app/onsun-rooftop-solar-forecast-HUVy/philippines) - [Poland](https://apptail.io/app/onsun-rooftop-solar-forecast-HUVy/poland) - [Portugal](https://apptail.io/app/onsun-rooftop-solar-forecast-HUVy/portugal) - [Romania](https://apptail.io/app/onsun-rooftop-solar-forecast-HUVy/romania) - [Saudi Arabia](https://apptail.io/app/onsun-rooftop-solar-forecast-HUVy/saudi-arabia) - [Senegal](https://apptail.io/app/onsun-rooftop-solar-forecast-HUVy/senegal) - [Türkiye](https://apptail.io/app/onsun-rooftop-solar-forecast-HUVy/turkey) - [Ukraine](https://apptail.io/app/onsun-rooftop-solar-forecast-HUVy/ukraine) - [United States](https://apptail.io/app/onsun-rooftop-solar-forecast-HUVy/united-states) --- ## About AppTail [AppTail](https://apptail.io) is a mobile app intelligence platform providing app analytics, ASO (App Store Optimization) tools, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, revenue estimates, and review monitoring for iOS App Store apps.
