S4 Firmware Upgrade is not working

HansW1204 on

United States

Tried to upgrade the S4 firmware. No “Code” is generated so no way to proceed.

Issue with Fahrenheit temp history

homegrown5 on

United States

The app reports incorrect Fahrenheit temp history logs for the newest motion sensor with thread. The temp reading on the main screen is okay, but history is 30 degrees lower than actual.

Very bad app

apexskier on

United States

Added a star since the actual device is working fine, but the app is not helpful. Temperature history is totally broken, and is the main reason I’m trying this device. - it’s the wrong temperature - only allows emailing, why not pull up a share sheet for the CSV and let me decide how to share - UI spacing is super weird

Needs work for the motion/temperature sensor

rob_from_ca on

United States

The sensor works fine as a HomeKit sensor, I only installed the app to get logged temperature data off the app. Two problems, one is that even though it has two months of history, there seems to be no way to download it all at once. You can only email yourself a csv file one day at a time. Which makes incredibly tedious to use for pulling those logs (and motion data and humidity are separate, so you’d have to do it three times for each day). And just for fun, the logs have the wrong data. The data log shows exactly 30 degrees F colder than the actual temperature, so in addition to a several tap process to email yourself the logs 365 days a year if you want to get the data off continuously, you’ll need to add 30 to the logs on the other end. Mystifying (C is accurate apparently)

Not for iPad ☹️

Bruce McLeod on

United States

85 to 90% of my screen time is on an iPad in Landscape, my case makes Landscape comfortable, and doesn’t support portrait. I refuse to use any app (on my iPad) that works only in portrait. When I use the App on my iPhone, I’ll review again, or edit this one with additional comments on the Onvis Utility. I would encourage Onvis to spend some time with the App and make it universal, by that I mean that it takes advantage of the device it’s on and use its format for best presentation. Even just rotating the app (what many do) makes it useable, having to turn you iPad is unacceptable.

Switch does not work and NO support!

Gustavo de Brito on

United States

The Omvis Switch fails to control devices every day, and the company does not reply to support enquiries in the email provided. Bad product and bad customer service.

Poor ui/ux

ericnegron on

United States

The app is poorly designed and everything is poorly written English. Latest updates improved performance slightly. Current version won’t allow me to export data readings. Creates draft email but it’s empty. Still cannot export the data with new version that has “bug fixes”

5 button controller

Piggers1 on

United States

App becomes unstable when 5 button controller connected to it. Keeps becoming unresponsive

Crashes often

Waw74-nyc on

United States

The actual button works fairly well But trying to access button settings in the app causes an instant crash Everytime.

Very buggy poor quality control

BravoMike09 on

United States

Lots of bugs with this app, including inability to play individual paint color themes. One can only play ALL paint color themes even though there is a selection to select individual themes. That Individual selection does not function. inability to edit preset themes, or create new ones. in ability to export, individual twinkle themes. Once a twinkle theme is exported to HomeKit, any time the twinkle theme is changed on the app, that twinkle theme becomes the new theme in HomeKit. As a result, there can only be one twinkle theme in HomeKit, even though you can export multiple twinkle themes to HomeKit, if the twinkle theme is changed in the app, all twinkle themes will be exactly the same as what was changed. This is probably a limitation with the device itself. It can only save one twinkle theme. this is the same with all the different functions with the exception of presets. individual presets can be saved to HomeKit.
