You can open files from ODF (ODT, ODS & many more) that you have created with Libre Office or OpenOffice also from within other apps. Supported apps include GMail, Google Drive, iCloud, OneDrive, Nextcloud, Box.net, Dropbox and lots of others! Or use our integrated file explorer instead to open files on your device.

* ODF (Open Document Format) is the format used by office suites like Open Office and Libre Office. Text documents (Writer, ODT), as well as spreadsheets (Calc, ODS) and also presentations (Impress, ODP) are supported, including support for complex formatting and embedded images. Graphs are no problem either. If you want to secure your data you can even open password-protected documents. Zwei .odt-Dateien geschickt bekommen, nicht mal Pages kann die öffnen, ein Armutszeugnis. Mit diesem kleinen Tool klappt’s auf Anhieb, klasse! Danke!

ODT auf iPhone öffnen

Habe eine Einladung im ODT Format bekommen. Mit Hilfe des Open Document Reader Lite konnte ich die Datei auf dem iPhone öffnen und anschauen. Ein enthaltenes Foto wurde auch korrekt angezeigt. Und das alles kostenlos! Vielen Dank dafür.

Die App tut weitgehend was sie soll. Ich hätte zwei Verbesserungsvorschläge: Wenn man ein Wort sucht, werden nur die Fundstellen markiert, es wäre schön wenn der Cursor zur ersten Fundstelle springen würde. Es werden oft Leerzeichen, leere Absätze oder Tabellenzeilen nicht dargestellt. Das ist sehr verwirrend, insbesondere dann, wenn der Leser den Text nicht kennt.

Leider übernimmt die App keine vorhandenen Formatierungen (z.B. eine einfache Leerzeile). Damit ist sie für mich unnütz.

Für das Anzeigen von OD* Files genau richtig

Mein Anwendungszweck ist, ein altes Dokument von meinem iCloud Drive zu lesen. Das macht die App korrekt, schnell und ohne Schnörkel. Andere Funktionen habe ich nicht getestet, aber wenn ich die will lade ich LibreOffice auf meinen Mac und editiere oder drucke von dort. Das Handy ist dafür sowieso nicht besonders gut geeignet.

I just downloaded it and I can't open it. No matter what I do… And don’t get me wrong I like Libre very much. I’m always using it on my computer and wanted a mobile version now.
